Multifaceted and immensely talented, Bainz is a multi-platinum mixer and recording engineer hailing from New Delhi, India, whose tenure in the music industry began in 2008, when he graduated from Full Sail University’s record arts and music business program as valedictorian. After several years in NYC’s SoHo district with Michael Brian, the two took their Crosby Street collective to Los Angeles, opening Crosby Recording Studios LA with Bainz as chief engineer. Throughout his career, names like Young Thug, Travis Scott, M.I.A., Estelle, Machine Gun Kelly, Prateek Kuhad, Sia, Future, and countless others have benefitted from his studio mastery. Armed with a vision, unrivaled dedication, and the ineffable stylings that give his Billboard-topping tracks their signature sound, Bainz is only getting started. Best piece of gear that wasn't shown but was mentioned was the Hazelrigg VLC pre-amps. They have no equal, seriously, everyone actually prefers them over the VT-1 due to the Pultec EQ and are a bit smoother and more transparent than the VT-1

Amazing video, but as someone who mostly mix in the box as an engineer, this should not be called "essential" - probably the most overkill signal chain I have ever seen in a mixing studio, and not in a bad way at all, this is insanely cool but def not "essential" to anyone even pros. Just so that beginners don't think they

how do you connect a summing mixer, what type of interface to you need? I have a prism sound Lyra but I love the sound but it does not have many ins and outs. what would be the setup for a summing mixer?

Is it me or are engineers over doing it with what they have in their mixbuss?… i dont feel like i need $10k worth of outboard gear to get it sounding good. A nice buss compressor and eq will get you a long way if you know what you’re doing.
