This is a full room tour of Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort Standard view room. This resort opened today, July 19, 2021, with their newly remodeled Moana theme rooms! We love how they turned out! Our room number was 3401.
This room sleeps up to 5 adults and has plenty of room for everyone to spread out. The bathroom has been redesigned to have a separate toilet room from the shower and sink which is a huge change from the old design which was all one big bathroom.

Love the upgraded room. When we stayed there on our 25th anniversary, the rooms were mostly dark, earth-toned, with a lot of dark wood accents. Love the Moana theme, modern touches, and brightness! Thanks for the tour!

Love the upgraded rooms at the Poly! 💕 I don't think I could stay there though, because I feel like I'd constantly have the "You're Welcome" Moana song stuck in my head the whole time! 🤦🏼‍♀️

Wishing we had more storage like this in the DVC Polynesian studios. That is the only thing that’s lacking for us as DVC Polynesian owners.

Cant wait to visit! I just bought into DVC with my boyfriend at 18! We’re bringing my family in April and staying in Poly for the first time with our points!

This remodel is a success as far as I am concerned: it is upscale but not too much, there is a lot of Disney references. The room looks amazing and not gimmicky at all... I hope they can do the same kind of work for the Animal Kingdom Lodge one day, this resort is in need of some love, and they kept taking away the only nice touches year after year!

They definitely did a great job with these rooms. 😊 AKL had a remodel in 2019. The DVC rooms were not touched, but all the “cash” hotel rooms were completely redone. They have some Lion King touches throughout the room, but there’s definitely more theming in these rooms at Polynesian than at AKL.

Bathroom seems more cramped. Used to be very spacious. And hate the stupid glass fridge ugh. Who ever thought those were a good idea! But love the room colours. Wish dresser was longer and had more drawers. If 4 people in room not even enough for 1 drawer each. The old rooms were pretty beat up. Our last stay half the plugs in the dresser panel didn’t work. But I can’t say every change was an improvement.

All the cash rooms are Moana. The DVC are not.

What building are you in? How close to the Long House is your building? Did you request a room in a building close to the Long House? What is the nightly cost for this room with taxes? Is there a resort fee at DW?

Amazing and so spacious! I was looking into rates for my stay. It starts at 562 a night for standard. Not bad for this resort. According to Touring plans 3401 is a garden view not a standard. It is in the Tuvalu wing.

What time of year did you want that you got $562? I was quoted $728 approx, for a standard room for a low week in November.

Beautiful room! Has anyone used Priceline to book at the Polynesian? If we go through Disney directly the cheapest I am seeing is $618 before tax. Priceline was $541, but not sure if we would have a problem. This is assuming we don't care when we go. I was just looking for the future (next 12-18 months)
