Interesting you said about the clumping- so maybe someone with a tighter texture, where the coils aren't as discernible and you need clumping, it could be more suitable potentially. Thanks for sharing!

Your hair looks amazing I think that when we use softer gels such as this one we should use gel ONLY. By adding leave-in it doesn’t give quite the hold and I also think that we lose some definition.

I don't understand the hype about Eco style gel. It doesn't do much for my hair whether it is a wash and go or if I slick it down. I appreciate this review before I tried them again

Nakea McCrae Tatum for me eco styler and wetline xtreme gel are the only gels I could achieve a wash n go with and get my hair to stay down. I found that a combination of the gels worked even better. My hair is thick (and frizzy while wet), these are the only gels that make the curls form and last throughout the week

my hair is 3c low porosity and t lovesssss this eco. if your hair gets hard it means there's a gel cast and you break it by scrunching again. viola!

Happy Ghana Independence day to you too!! I rarely use gel, but thank you so much for sharing this. A little hack for those that can't get their hands on this product, just mix flaxseed oil and castor oil in your gel. LOL! Okay.. might not get the same results but WHO KNOWS.. LOL!

So I tried it...and I don't think its worth the hype either lol...I like it, I recommend it, I think its great but the olive oil one is still my favorite, and the clumping thing didn't happen to me, but the definition at my roots was pretty poor, so I think I would restrict this to being for twist outs, not necessarily wash n gos. Just an update!

So the best place to find the gel, I believe, is your "off the beaten path" beauty supply store. I found it this weekend, much to my surprise! There were 4 jars, greedy ass took 3! I love it! But I agree with NaturallyPhilo, if you can't find it do NOT pay these inflated prices just to get it. You'll live! It's great but it ain't ALL that.

I love wash n gos...my hair is exactly like yours, the only problem I have is shrinkage! my hair touches my back but after it dries, It barely touches my ear lol.

Tweetdawg same I hate shrinkage too because the way it hurts my length But shrinkage is the biggest indicator of healthy hair so it's a love hate relationship 😂

I agree. I wouldn't use ecostyle for a wash and go but it's awesome when I'm doing my high puff to slick my hair down and for twist outs. I'm wasn't an ecostyle fan & never understood the hype but the black castor and flax seed one has turned me into one!

you should try "the curl maker" from camille rose. its amazing definition, and not heavy (my hair is thin) and if you dont use too much theres no crunch!

Great video! But coming from a transitioning natural just entered in to my 12th month NO HEAT.. Yay! I tried it last night on dry hair, no curls whatsoever to start with, it brought out my wavy curls!!!!! with lil' shrinkage also. I am so happy, I have been waiting to see curls for sooooo long.

Hey a new subscriber here! I want to try this product. Being a hairdresser I sometimes know that certain product do not mix well with gels. I'm gonna try it first with just the gel and then with the products that I use normally. Leave in conditioners often don't mix well with gels. I will let you know how it comes out. Great review chica!!

I lightly spray a leave in conditioner then go in with Eco gel. My experience is that certain Eco gels do not mix well with other hair products.

I bought a BIG jar of this for like 5 dollars and honestly it works better on my hair dry then when it’s wet...it just becomes really greasy and doesn’t hold like the purple jar when my hairs wet...I LOVE wash n go’s but this just doesn’t cut it!But. Can you do a video on that pudding you said you loved I might be interested in trying it out

I just bought some today, I didn't do a wash n go. I put some on my hair after I spritzed it with some water and oils and put some on my fro. It left my hair very soft not hard or flaky and I don't like eco styler at all!! I will try on a wash and go soon though

I have used that gel for 1 year now (I'm 10 my mom does my hair) My mom used this for when she did my edges and when I get ponytails she puts it on my hair so the edges want be every where she does it use it for the whole part of the hair just on the sides when I do ponytails

Thanks for the review. I finally found someone selling it on EBay and love. I think the seller is Haute and Frugal or something like that. Lol They may still have some left. The price wasn't too bad. I ended up paying $14 for a 32 oz jar and shipping was 7. It's the cheapest I've found online.

I'm still wanting to try it. I just have a 2c/3a texture and it might work for me. The olive oil one and the argan oil one are fine. Lately I do either leave-in + gel + serum, or curl cream + gel + serum (the latter is amazing!). I especially like the Curl Enhancing Smoothie by Shea Moisture. :)

I love homemade flaxseed gel but I'm too lazy to make it. My hair is the same type as yours and I like ecostyler but I haven't found this one yet. Shea Moisture corrective gel for porous hair is an absolute dream on my hair, it turns this wacky crow's nest of straw on my head into luscious, dreamy mermaid curls that shake and toss in the wind, lol

It's my FAVORITE,but that's because I like gel...I've never defined my curls with anything but gel...and where I live it's not hair to get at all. I got a HUGE hug for $5.99...I actually like it more than the Mane Choice biotin infused gel 🙈
