Through the power of music, the show journeys through life, loss and love. It reveals how we all bring our unique selves to form a great symphony of life - and yet how we are more alike than different. It's the perfect way to end the night with fireworks, fountains, lights and music around World Showcase Lagoon. You'll recognize many Disney ballads like "You'll Be in My Heart," "You've Got a Friend in Me" and "Remember Me". Two original songs were also created for Luminous- "Heartbeat Symphony" and "Beating of Our Hearts" (Notice a theme here?

Didn't catch this the first time, but hearing Walt say the last "Welcome" about broke me! It was already beautiful having each country say it in their respective language, but to end with the man himself....god the feels. Also the intertwining of When She Loved Me and Remember Me (In Spanish) is like Emotional Poison, like its the purest distilled form of feels. Especially when prefacing it by saying "and we're all alone." like DISNEY DON'T DO THIS TO ME! Also the whole call and response Frozen 2 thing, sing and the world will sing back to you, with the pavilions lighting up was Genius! Will it ever replace Illumantions, heck no! I still believe Disney could have done better by ending with We Go On, from Illuminations, but hey beggars can't be choosers. At least this is a massive coherent improvement from Harmonius.

I wish they'd just put a little bit of a pause between Walt's welcome and that blast of fireworks. Just that half second for you to realize Walt Disney just said welcome. I think this detail is amazing but too many people are missing it because the welcome and the blast from the sea wall fireworks is happening simultaneously. They just need to separate those two by a half second.

I thought harmonious was amazing and when I watched the last show I was so sad but then I saw luminous and it was incredible! I’ve watched this video over 20 times 😂

As a hard IRoE fan, Disney finally got it right. Perfect balance between IP and Original music. Amazing Pyro and tech. No projections, no screens. Just a classic Epcot show about people and community. The show feels perfect for Epcot. Harmonious was a good show at the wrong park. The rebirth of Epcot has started. 🎉🎉 New subscriber to your channel. Amazing job on the video. Loved the moving shots. Made you feel as if we were there. Colors and sound were great. Congrats. 🎉

0:54 this moment with Walt Disney’s voice welcoming us to the show underscored with a few triumphant notes of Pinar Toprak’s EPCOT anthem gives me goosebumps. Great moments in this show. I think this is a worthy sequel of sorts to IllumiNations.

Think you all have the best recording so far. The audio is easily the best I’ve heard to this point, and really enjoyed the cuts. The moving shots from behind folks watching the show really made it feel more real! Can not wait to see this live!

this video is incredible!! the cutting between angles and high quality audio really makes it feel like an official disney video - makes up for not getting a debut livestream for luminous like we did with epcot forever and harmonious

I’ve seen this 3 times. I teer up when at the end the ball turns into the earth. Festival of the arts is my first ever Disney experience I’m 35 but I got so obsessed I bought an annual pass. Thing like this are healing for me after how life’s been

I'm afraid I think this show is lacking that special something. I have been visiting EPCOT from the UK since 1986. The Illuminations show will always be the best in my eyes.

I completely agree. They never should’ve changed it. This new one is better than the last one but it’s like a knock off of Illuminations. Illuminations was so moving and one of the reasons I love Epcot. If they’re smart they will bring it back for one of the many anniversaries they’re always celebrating, and they’ll keep it. Progress and change are wonderful but there is also a time when you can’t fix perfection.

I saw this back in February during a company event. It was absolutely amazing to see in person. Have to admit, being able to hear the music over the fireworks makes it hit a bit harder than when I was there.

Epcot got it right this time. It had the reflections of Earthe Vibes mixed with Epcot Forever Vibes. I have not cried since Epcot Forever and this made me break down. Even hearing Walt's voice. That just sealed it for me. This was completely AMAZING!!!🥲

I think for the theme song the Reprise short version should of been at the beginning and the long version that was at the beginning should of been at the ending as the huge build up to the grand finale. I think Disney was trying to some type of mix-up fusion style of Illuminations + Harmonious = Luminous?

I absolutely love the inclusion of Walt’s “welcome” at the intro of the show. I will say I wasn’t a big fan of Harmonius. It was just an ok show, but I felt it was more an intellectual property push only, and didn’t embody the feel or representation of EPCOT and World Showcase. Conversely, I’m a huge fan of the late Illuminations: Reflections of Earth. And I must say, while not perfect, Luminous brings back that feeling of togetherness, hope, and the overall vibes that Illuminations gave us in the past.

Best filming of this show so far. Love the different angles you catch! It was in a way cinematic! Very good job! Luminous is best during both it's Beginning and Finale sequences. Those are the strongest components to this show, where as everything else needed a lot of work. Fireworks were amazing, especially those hearts! That was cool. Music wasn't the best in the middle, though. I'd give Luminous a 6/10!

I love how this show dares to address the reality of loneliness and depression, albeit subtly. As a former "Rivers of Light" cast member at Animal Kingdom, I feel like it is a perfect spiritual followup to that now-defunct show.

The strongest parts of this show was its original instrumental pieces. I wish Disney could stop relying on IP at Epcot. Also, imagine if these barges moved during the show or if they were moving barges during the show. That would add some more kinetic energy. Overall, I thought the show was good much better than harmonious, but not better than illumiNations.

Agreed! If only the barges were moving, giving it more life than just being there. Maybe even implement jetskis just like Believe! Sea of Dreams in TDS and more mini fountain barges around the lagoon to make it more grand.

I miss IllumiNations.... IRoE was the ultimate show experience. Creative music that was not specific to country or animated movie and a finishing song that was original. So upset that this did not do it for me either... ugh...

This was an excellent video! I am a traveler and I approve this video! If you watch the London New Year 2024 show you basically recreated that with the camera movements across the crowd and the mulitcam and everything! Great Job! You just earned yourself a new Subscriber!

I'm pretty sure you're reading into this way too much in that specific moment. It's probably because in the song they say "through the summer and the fall" so it's probably meant to represent summer in the lyrics of the song.

I’d have choreographed Walt’s “Welcome” right before the fireworks, so you could hear it clearly. This unfortunately had the same timing as the first fireworks boom, and I didn’t hear Walt clearly. Shame

@@jazzyjen5083 there hasn't been a literal in dept dive into the subject on a spectacular night time show. That's usually reserved with their films. Don't act as if its a topic that Disney easily pushes especially in the parks, most of their programs are about celebration so this in fact caught most people off guard especially the coincidental tie of into the unknown and i see the light.

I agree with bard. What was so great about Illuminations is that the music itself gave us the meaning and let's us think on our own what that meant to ourselves. Meanwhile Luminous still had to do the thinking for us, so it wasn't as impactful. Still, I love this show more than Harmonious, so awesome job Disney. It's starting to feel like EPCOT again
