I just can't look past how these are around $2500-3000 more expensive than the $1680 for the CRW (Craft Racing Works) 5060's which are lighter at 1290g and probably perform very similarly, outside of lab-tests! That's a lot more money for (I presume) a better warranty and the ability to go buy them in a local shop! But hey, as a shop-owner I'd be stocking whichever products gave me the best sales + margins. So more power to you for removing the obviously-excess bills from those Floridian's wallets 😆

@gcperformance PRO TIP: when you use the caliper to measure inner widths, use other end of the caliper. The blades on the other side are inverted which allow you to allign with inner walls

I think they missed something . They should of gone much wider especially as it’s a new product , should of gone at least 23mm internal and 31/32 mm external , most 28mm tyres blow out to 30mm on a 21 internal .

I have a hard time justifying the price for anyone thats not actually racing. We all want to go fast but these are only marginally better than wheels costing less than half. They also dont sound like they are optimized for 28mm tires which is what most of us weekend wariors are using.

I've been running 28's (73/76 psi @ 78Kg w Latex/TPU tubes) for years and would never go smaller again! I put some 32's on for this winter (63/65 psi) and wow do they run fast & smooth (on crappy S.England roads) 👍😀

I have a set of the Peak 4550's and firmly believe it's the best set of wheels I have. I was at their open house this year in Connecticut and was very impressed by everyone and their commitment to producing a top-quality product. It's amusing to hear how some people think that some brands with ridiculously wide wheels are better.

Realized farsports “MIGHT BE” or could be using the same OEM of PCW as they are the only one I saw with the same profile wavy rims…(and farsports ones are actually wiiiider…some rim height even comes in 26mm inner width+32mm outter

I have these wavy 45/50mm Farsports 21mm inner, 32mm outside width. Fantastic wheels. Worked great even in Alps. 800€ with DT350. From what I see Farsports and PCW have same rim finishing and other details, so quite sure both are from same factory.

I like that they're offering a decent range of colours, but they kinda spoiled it with the unappealing graphic. 28.2mm max external width seems pretty narrow as well, quite a few brands are selling wheels with 33mm - 35mm external.

I think it was on the Chris Miller Nero Show they said Dura Ace wheels are faster, and Ineos riders only use the Princeton wheels sometimes because there are bonuses available if they place high enough while using them. Shows how little there is in it in terms of performance if the pro riders are willing to sacrifice a marginal gain for the possibility of some extra pay if they do win something.

I think a lot of you folks don’t get that cycling is fundamentally a luxury sport. It isn’t about “value for money” or “performance per dollar”. The large majority of folks in this sport are in it for a hobby, and not a career. And what do you want out of a luxury hobby? Big price tags and the sense of luxury.

28.2mm according to the blurb on the website. Seems pretty narrow to me, I thought rims were trending much wider to optimise for 28mm tires.

Just seen the width. This is too narrow still to be aero with a 28mm tyre which is what they run in the world tour and for Britain our roads are too bad to run less than 28 🙈😂😂

It's odd to release a "new" wheel in 2023 with specs of a wheel from 2019 .... 21mm internal? optimized for a no longer used 25mm tire? with a wave pattern that looks more like the Chinese copy cat wheels then their own previous wake tech? such a strange choice. They make cool looking wheels, but seem like they are all flash with little substance.

3w+ faster at 30mph?? which cyclist is riding at 30mph? that’s 48kph which is slightly faster than TDF riders ride at.. we’ve reached the point where the marginal gains are so marginal that there’s no real difference except for a perceived difference
