New FDS3 Motors? What happened to the price of RX7 Motors? Why they're no longer available

2 ай бұрынGot a little info as to why Mazda USA has stopped bringing in FD3S motors. Back to Building blocks.
Reminder we can build a new motor with new parts but prebuilt blocks are currently no longer available in the USA unless its old inventory.

I managed to get one of these last year for a very good price,then we stripped, balanced, ported and doweled it and fitted it to my SA22c. Makes for a very exciting street car ❤

Same thing happened with Miata hardtops a few years ago. Now they have plenty back in stock and the price never went back down. Unfortunate.

As of right now, there are actually 9 in stock across two PDCs. They will probably never sell, due to the price.

Yup, over the course of a couple years they went from reasonably priced to not reasonable at all. For the moment, you can build one cheaper.

Yea. This one was damaged. What's the only reason it got unboxed. So I took the opportunity to film it, otherwise they usually stay sealed...

bilet motors don't last very long, espically for street driving.

Its become almost more cost effective & efficient to go with some billet plates. Its wild the prices they're charging, they used to support rotor heads like us but now they don't. Wtf happened?🤘

Man. That one has a broken rear iron. I would be pissed if thats what landed from Japan.

Yea. That's why we opened the box. Generally wiely, rocilled, set this one had a suit incident. So it was an opportunity to show what they generally look like with the exception of the broken ear. I should have mentioned it.

Looks like that motor has an ear broken off the rear plate? Also, Mazda is stupid for not making these available. They can make a lot of money because there are many rotor guys still out there, especially in Australia and Puerto Rico.

Yep. Thats why we had the box opened. 📦 otherwise we don't usually open them up. Should have mentioned it 🙄
