We're exploring all the great new functionality of Mass Edit's Preset Browser. Going way beyond Token Attacher prefabs, you can now paint in tiles, with randomization, module functionality, and save virtually anything in Foundry for reuse later. We're using plenty of popular modules like Token Magic FX, Levels, Monk's Active Tiles and more.

Thank you so much for this video. I knew there was so much more to your modules and had no idea bout the mass edits stuff. Man am I am excited to make some maps.

I made every scene of this last release using Mass Edit, accessing my entire library through it. I'm sure there are improvements to be made, but the entire experience out of the box was delightful!

this is a good tutorial, makes life much easier. it's still a bit hard to use everything since your tools changed in time and old stuff and new stuff often work in different ways, but this clearly helped. my only problem is that I always can't so that "double click to change tile" you do, neither with a background or a tile. I checked and the matt action is correct, but in the image window there is just a single image.

Hi, @bayleiwiki I wanted to have a couple of information about patreon subscriptions, especially about the foundry basic pack. In your videos I see a lot of prefabs but also backgrounds where you can use prefabs. If I subscribe to that subscription, do I also include the backgrounds to create the scenes or just the prefabs

You get backgrounds, prefabs, and also hundreds of completed scenes, which are usually made with all of those same components. Anything "2D" that I produce except for Landing Pages or 3D content, which is the Advanced Tier.

Is the background you are using for this map available in the baileywiki suite as a blank canvas or did you create that with DungeonDraft or something of the like?

The scene was created in Dungeondraft so the artwork is baked in within Foundry. Why? Are you looking for a big field of grass and dirt?

Hi Baileywiki, a question about prefabs and grid. If I use a map taken from the internet or from Dungeon Alchemist, what value should the grid be set to be proportionate to the prefabs? So that the walls are centered on the edges of the grilles? I tried levels with your examples and I went crazy to find the grid set because the terrain used was dungeon alchemist and it put me in the grid at 300 in size.

The prefabs should deploy to proper grid squares regardless of how you have the grid set. I think there may be a way to disable this in the global settings if it's not what you're looking for. If you still having problems come find me on Discord so you can share a picture of what you're seeing

Does this tool only show up for 2D maps or is it also available with 3D maps?

Mass Edit works for both 2D and 3D. But (1) there are fewer things like prefabs available in 3D, and (2) 3D Canvas already has great browsing and brush tools built-in, so you don't need Mass Edit for those functions. With that said, You will still find mass at it as useful in 3D as ever especially when editing multiple tiles.

Hey i have a problem with most of your maps and prefabs, in mass edit and in the compendium. i get these error images all over, and in your prefabs it wont even show me the actor , so i cant deleted them. im talking about these huge white triangle shaped emblems. Any idea what it can be? thx , new content is looking great btw.

Those white triangles mean you haven't installed all the Baileywiki modules yet. If you click into one of those triangles and examine the image path, it will give you a clue as to which module is missing. Not sure why you can't delete the control tokens though 🤔 Maybe a module conflict somewhere

@@Baileywiki well i can remove it by using the edit tho, just the actor dissepairs, could be a module conflict indeed. Thx for letting me know about the missing modules.

@@Baileywiki Hey, you was right about the missing modules. I have been using the forge all this time to install modules and many of your modules dont show up there, when i searched simply in foundry itself i found them all. It also fixed the actor problem btw. thx and keep up the good work.

Ah good. But my modules should be showing up in the Forge. Maybe you should be looking in their Modules browser page, and not just the Bazaar?

I have a ton of base/starting terrains in my library. If you're already a sub, you can start with one of those. Tom Cartos has a great "Into the Wild" series that has some starting terrains too.
