This new fire station is a wonderful contribution to the community. You, your dad and others who helped have done a great job in the construction process. All of your dedication and hard work is greatly appreciated by all, I am sure. And, you and Clayton are an asset as well as volunteer firemen.

I'm a full time police dispatcher and former EMT. We don't have a lot of volunteers on this side of the state. You sir are doing a great job and should be proud of how much you are helping and protecting your community. I hope Frieghtliner sees this and can help you get that other engine back on the road.

Way to go on your new firehouse. I hope you do other videos of your other stations and fire equipment. Hopefully the other big brothers in the United States help you guys by donating equipment or money to your organization good luck stay safe and happy volunteering.

I was a professional firefighter/paramedic and I worked overtime at a fire department that had the same issues (2” of space between the back wall and front roll up door). The station was built on the side of a cliff. It scared the heck out of me parking their engine in the apparatus bay. But the tax payer’s finally placed a measure on the ballot when the fire station was condemned and the result was a beautiful station getting built and a consolidated department with over a dozen small departments. This video is absolutely awesome and it’s so great to see local support for volunteer departments, especially in the face of a shrinking number of capable volunteers across the country.

Congratulations on the quick response time to the huge fire last night. With all the firemen and forestry personnel that responded, several houses were saved. It well could have been a situation where lives could have been lost. Having the new station on the ridge and two trucks responding quickly made a big difference. A big thank you to all who responded and the great coordination of the departments.

As someone who just recently joined the paid side, but has volunteered for a couple of years now, it’s awesome to see videos like these! I always wish I had the opportunity to serve at a department like this. Seeing just how much leadership and dedication this department has is truly inspiring. Keep up the strong work and stay safe out there Sir!

People do not realize how hard it is to get the funds at a Volunteer Department to do things like this! That’s awesome Ben. You should see if those openers will timeout to close. Our station are set to like 5 mins and will close when you leave. Funny thing we never knew they would do that till we had to get one serviced. Saves from being in a hurry to a fire and leaving doors open.

That's a great new building, nice and simple and gets the job done. And it warms my heart to see one of those old cabover Fords still out there saving lives and property. Those were the firetrucks of my youth growing up in my own end of rural Virginia (well east of yours, heh) and it's always nice to see one still running.

I know it’ll be great to have 2 trucks ready & available if need be & a warm place to do what you gotta do as far as maintenance!! I know what it’s like trying to do maintenance on equipment specially fire trucks & Ambulances from when I was maintenance helper at LaGrange Volunteer Fire & Rescue!!

New Fire station looks great! Know that will be a great asset to your community and surely gives you much more needed room!!

You're doing some good work for your neighbors and friends and I am sorry I aggregated you so much about the fire house I'm just a nosey guy that grew up in southeastern ky the only one in my family that's been to clintwood is my sister came to clintwood in the early seventies and got married but seems a lot of people from up there did at that time

This is very humbling to see how hard some communities have to pull together just to get a structure big enough to fit two fire trucks . I almost feel privileged in that we just built a new multi million dollar station w a whole second floor that’s just a gym ..

Awesome new station. I'm on the FD where I live and we're trying to put in for a new fire house. I love the cabover Ford you guys have. Hope it all works out for you guys 🙏🙏🙏

Nice looking station, looks like should the time come to expand again you'll have room to build off the sides as well. My grandfather started our local department back in 76, started with a two stall shack just barely big enough to fit the two engines, now almost 50 years later there's a 8 stall station with all the bays filled.

My dept has twin sister trucks like your old red one, good trucks… we are planning on retiring them next year sometime.

Congratulations, Sir. People do not realize the short supply of people like you. You do not have to run calls to help. There is so much administrative work that needs to be done. Someone could help with that. Or even keeping a check on equipment. Keep it up guys.

Hell yea love to see it. Looks pretty similar to the station I ride out of. Just hope yall made the doors and ceeling tall enough... its getting real hard to get trucks spec'd under 10ft. Our doors are 9'9" and it makes it real tough to find trucks that fit. Hell the truck on the right of your station looking in is identical to one we had years ago when my father was chief. And i mean identical to a T (the single commercial cab). We still have the full sized commercial cab of the same truck, the only difference is with the full size the pump panel is on the side.

We have two three bay stations that was built back in the mid 80s and as we've replaced trucks over the year they are at their limits on the size of the trucks they can hold. When the buildings were built we had old C70 Chevy and F-700 ford three man cab trucks and they were more than big enough, now our Engines are four door custom cabs with top mount pump panels and extended front bumpers. We have to have them backed against the back wall and there's just enough room to walk in front of them. They barely fit through the 10x10 doors as well...lol...

its not really a station. more like a garage.
