halo infinite just got a new update, which adds 5 maps to the firefight playlists. Now the maps themselves aren't anything special, but some of them have been modified to have certain awesome gameplay elements!

on Breaker someone managed to spawn 20ish hunters and it broke the enemy spawns. They just stopped showing up and the hills were free for capture for the rest of the game

If you have the bandanna skull come out then you can spawn as many as you want

@@commandobrando618 oh yeah that might be why. What allows the Bandana skull to activate? I occasionally get that or Grunt Birthday once every month or something. More often than not it’s negative skulls like Thunderstorm stacked with Mythic

It's a F2P game that is likely to have a solid population well into the life of the next Halo game, especially if the next Halo doesn't launch with Firefight. Hell if they update Firefight enough they might be able to skip it in the next game or hold off for a long time.

@@dreadlocsamurai4241 The mangler used to be almost exactly the same as the CE Magnum aside from the projectile drop before they nerfed it. As for using the mangler shots with a sidekick it makes the fire rate horrifically slow

I wasn't paying attention if it was active at the beginning of the match or someone triggered it but the one time I played High Power the other day, we had the bandana skull active. Chaos ensued when we all figured that out.

Finally 343 did sth great . They have to add ally options to each map . Maybe by unlocking ot with some achievement . And they finally have to add playable Elite

I kinda prefer it because it makes you go to other areas of the map. Classic firefight you usually ended up sitting in the same spot every single game, which is way more monotonous than King of the Hill. It would be nice if there was other objectives to complete throughout the map other than a hill though, or the hills changed spots more

1:41 I've had this map a ton, I am convinced that it's just random BUT I've only gotten Basic weapons no power weapons so far, But also make sure to pick it up even to despawn it cause if it doesn't get picked up it will stay there next round to. (I.E if it's something like the PP or Ravger just pick it up and drop and hope you get something better next spawn XD) I didn't know about that Sidekick or the Elite Spawns thats so cool I gotta try them next time on the Map!

i have really enjoyed fire fight when my multi sessioins feel dry or reptitive. all in all looks solid. i love how the eliete follower drops in on a drop pod. really sick!

i would love to have some other objective based PVE gamemodes, like how invasion worked in Reach. the custom 'campaign' missions people make would be great for a PVE Gamemode, and you can do so much with it!

You don't know how cool it was to be 3 rounds in on breaker with Thunderstorm and Mythic and seeing two red hunters hit the dirt to help. Those hunters didn't mess around!

I played the new maps and as it turns out you can still hack the doors to get power weapons. But the Marines caught me off-guard when they spawned out of nowhere.

I know it's not likely but 343 should make this into a local built in game mode so that it can be played offline especially if servers ever go down someday btw nice finds keep it up!

The update is still new enough for people to not know what is going on and genuinely get really confused when the friendly AI shows up, especially when it isn’t human. Had a lot of fun with that today. Never knew about the sniper pistol, can’t wait to get called a hacker 😂

The mongooses that spawn around the place in Fragmentation will spawn a random marine on the back when you get on

@@LostODST I think they are just scripted to spawn when you get on, I tested with a few different ones and it seemed to work each time, I got one marine with a heatwave and another with a shock rifle

One thing I found on High Power is in one of the weapon drops there's an energy sword that looks like the one from the Infection game mode, has the same kill effect as the Bloodblade, but it's just called an "Energy Sword". Not really a secret or Easter egg but I just find it weird

ANOTHER secret on fragmentation: when you open one of the secret loot caves, a mini-boss fight starts as a chieftan and a wack-a-mole brute drop down to attack yoy ass soon as the door opens

it's pretty fucking stupid that there's no playable elites in halo infinite but you get playable elites as allis in firefight why can't we just have both

Personally I don’t think it’s enough, I think King of The Hill is extremely boring and repetitive when it comes to firefight, I have to badger my teammates into staying on the hill. That or the “hill” has little to no cover depending on the map. Firefight’s main issue (at least for me) is that there is no variety to it. Halo 5’s Warzone is way better than this and that should speak volumes to how lackluster Firefight is right now. I hope that there are others here who share the same feelings as I do. To be honest, firefight just feels like a hollow shell of itself compared to previous Halo games.
