I had an opportunity to try new food from New Life Spectrum. New Life Spectrum sent me their Probiotix fish food, as well as their AlgaeMax to test in my fishroom.

I'd definately agree with the less waste observation from my few months of use of Probiotix coming from Hikari Marine S. I've been feeding clownfish and a Watchman Goby with them. I use a 2oz. Solo cup and top off water to soak and swirl pellets until they sink and then use a pipette to shoot them down to my goby.

Great video! Since I started buying by the ingredients rather than the reputation, I've made a lot of changes; and it's been eye opening to say the least. I think it's a matter of time before most brands have no choice but to start using better ingredients to stay in the market and meet the expectation of today's aquarists.

You are so right, food can be expensive, so reviews like yours that are well thought out and presented, can save a lot of money. Good video, well shared. I suspect the wheat flour is a binding agent.

Your getting close to the 15K mark! Congratulations on the success of the channel. I've recently switched to New Life Spectrum as my go to pellet food for my nano fish (thread fin rainbows, fork tail rainbows, Gertrudae Aru 2's, ember tetra, a juvenile betta, pygmy cory, habroses cory, and chili rasbora) and they all seem to love it, neocaridina as well. I hope N.L.S. comes out with a micro pellet in the future, maybe .2mm to .6mm. Currently I use a fish food grinder I got from my aquarium box to break down the size of the pellets for my nano fish. Other than that I have zero complaints! Happy Holidays to all!

Charles W. Thank you, and happy holidays to you as well! I’m not sure about the food sizes. The pellets that I tested were very small though.

Also with respect to the sizes, our small pellets are .5mm-1mm. We do have Grow and Nutricell that are smaller and work great for smaller fish and inverts.

Great video, that's my primary food to my African Cichlids, I start with the reg formula and now I switched to the Probiotix formula.

39% crude protein, 9% crude fat, 8% crude fibre, 10% moisture, 10% ash, vitamin A, E Krill, squid, + binder wheat flour, seaweed etc. (Thank you for this!!)

One of my go to foods along with Nutridiet. Can reccomend 100% even my customers tell me thier fish cant get enough. Good review Tazawa! Great food from spectrum!

NLS Thera A and Ultra Red are what I feed my Goldfish and they have significantly less waste than other foods and they go crazy for it.

Been using new life spectrum for years never had any issues w them. I also use hikari on occasion but preferably new life spectrum for my fish.

NLS was going to be my next tryout. I'm currently feeding a combination of Fluval Bug Bites and Omega One frozens (bloodworms, mysis shrimp, brine shrimp). I have almost 30 bettas, 40 cory cats, 20-some guppies, mollies, platys, etc., a handful of yoyo loaches and clown loaches, a few plecos, and an mbuna. All spread across several tanks, of course ;) I might try the Hikari Vibra-Bites first.

Hey Enzo I bought a few peacock cichlids 3 days ago but the one I bought 4 days ago is only active regularly. What can I do do make the other 3 active that are hiding in a corner. And yes I do have a few rock setups and hiding spots. Where can I message you so we can talk about this

Bleh--without ordering online you can get Wardley, Tetra, Aqueon or Ocean nutrition locally. Omega one and Hikari can be found semi locally though. My fish seem to like Omega one best out of all of those. I will have to try out some NLS or Northfin someday and see how they like it. Thanks for the video!

HI ZENZO; GREAT VIDEO....I USE STRICTLY OMEGA ONE FOODS....IN MY OPINION IT IS THE BEST FOOR ON THE MARKET....JUST READ THE INGREDIENTS.....NO COMPARISON TO ANY OTHER FOOD OUT THERE.....

I agree Daniel. I have great success with Omega One. I even crush it for my cichlid fry and boy they grow fast. No need to search for new foods with any new additives.

I use OMEGA ONE products with my cichlids and they love it. They seem to grow fast with it. It also has a strong smell. have you ever tried it.

Hi Zenzo, I enjoyed this video! It appears that N!S has perhaps made some improvements based on what you are commenting on.my concern is do they make it in larger size pellets in the Probiotic formula? With my tank having a majority of predator haps in the 7-14” range, my fish seem to do better with pellets around 4mm or so. Also, I’m still not completely sold how beneficial probiotics are for humans, not to mention fish. The AlgaeMax did sound rather attractive though. Thanks very much for sharing 👍.
