New Glaive Discussion Whiskey and Weapons

Today Nathan and Craig sit down and have glass of whiskey and talk about the development of our new French Glaive, a high-end reproduction of a fearsome 15th century weapon.

As always, our swords are entirely made by us at our shop in Minneapolis, MN out of 6150 carbon steel, hardened and tempered to 50-52 Rockwell. Our swords and other weapons are made to look, feel, and function just like the historical originals on which they are based.

I have always loved pole arms, especially the glaive and Japanese naginata. Your glaive is amazing! I simply wish the VA loved me enough that I could afford your weapons...

I only started thinking more about glaives learning that they are what could be conceived as France's favored weapon (like the bill is England's). One thing you could also do is do a faussart variant (short haft, no butt).

Y'all continue to do superlative work! I absolutely adore everything you produce. If I can offer a friendly critique, though, I wish y'all would put more effort into being responsive with your emails/communications. I reached out just shy of a year ago now with respect to commissioning a customized version of your German bastard, and I've never received a reply. Your products are exquisite, but it feels pretty shitty to be ignored when attempting to throw $1500 to $2000 to craftspeople one respects.

Apologies for that. Over the last year we have had some communications struggles. Just yesterday our phone was suddenly not working. We are making an effort to get back to folks as soon as possible at the moment as we have had to let machine catch messages with folks out due to health.
