Easy and excellent demonstration of inserting various elements on the page to make it more interactive; such as: Maps, videos, calendar that was great. Adding the badges was cool, one can actually make them in Google Draw!

Adding a folder is So Cool! Thanks for sharing. I tested it immediately after seeing your video. On my interface it says From Drive, rather than Drive folder. I learned about the importance of the settings I had attached to the folder. I couldn't see the files when I tested on another browser. And then I realized the settings were set to Anyone with the URL can view. It was not public. When I changed it to public then the files were visible. Keep up the great work!

Your videos are so useful,, thanks a lot,,. Please suggest how can we ask visitors to attach any document, I mean how can I replace Add files option which was available in classic sites now I want same into new sites. Is Google Form the only option?

Thank you for your feedback. I try to make my videos as useful and enjoyable as possible. At the moment, a Google form with upload option is indeed the most secure and easiest way of achieving this. Thank you for your question :-)

Using custom code this can be done. If you watch my video on advanced trick and tips with Google Sites you will see how I add custom html to get functionality that is otherwise not supported. I want to customize the subpage navigation bars, and I heard that you can do that with a "More action" button. But that's only available in google site classic, not the current new site version. Any help is appreciated!

You can hide pages from your navigation or nest pages. What type of customization are you trying to do?

This is still a limitation. The only way we can tweak fonts is by either changing the theme or by hardcoding it into html, which can mess with the responsivenes of websites. Do use the feedback button, as the most requested features are actioned by the team.

+suparman mercusuar what do you mean by a post? Are you thinking of a blog format? I'm afraid that's currently not supoorted. You could use titles and paragraphs to achieve a similar effect.

Hey! Is there a way to embed new profiles? So that customers can make their own profile on my website? I am trying to create the website so that customers HAVE to create a new profile before being able to enter the website

Havent looked into this yet but what is possible is having a form that let's people sign up. After signing up they can be given access to a members page. (You can change permissions on individual pages) I will definitely be looking more into this! Thank you for the question.

For as far as Im aware this is still not available within the new sites. I have not yet found a workaround to get this done but definitely see the value in having it, so I will continue my search! ;-)

I know this is a 2 year old video and when you wrote this there wasn't an option, but to do that, go to the insert tab and scroll down. there is an option there where you can add "Collapsable text". Hope it helps :)

+Mohamed Gamal make sure that you published your website and share that link. Not the actual share link. Google sites allows for collaboration through sharing. And publishing by publishing you website for viewers online. Hope that helps

How do I verify my new google site through google search console? I tried, but it wants me to add an HTML tag in code, but since you can't code the site, you can't. I've worked through all the options and can't make it work. Anyone able to help? I'd like to be able to google my site and something come up.

Once a website is published via Google Sites it is automatically indexed by Google unless you state otherwise. When publishing you get the option to tick a box which will send Google a message to index or Not index your website. Make sure you select the one you want applied to the website when you publish and if your website has keywords and content relevant to your searched it will show up in search. Hope this helps.

As the Hangouts Google Plus API is no Longer supported, I don't see how this could still be done as a hangouts button. If I find another way of doing it I will let you know. Hopefully we will find some way of doing this soon!

+Chrissy Velasco it is possible to fetch html embed information by using the insert url function. However this is still experimental and does not always work. That being said I've tried it with an 'awesome tables-table' and it worked perfectly. I would give it a try. Pure embedding of html is not supported yet.

Whenever you double click you get the option to insert images, upload, from URL or From drive. The from drive should be at the bottom of your options. Another option is to use the INSERT screen on the right hand side of your editor. You will see a From drive option underneath all the other options.(Make sure you have editing rights for the site you are trying to work on) Hope this helps!
