Harry Potter fans just got a huge announcement. Amazon’s Audible.com and Pottermore publishing just announced a series of brand new Harry Potter audio books, but with a very unique twist.
Audible is planning to release all 7 Harry Potter books in late 2025, but it won’t be your typical audio book recording. Rather than having one narrator read the entire book, these new audiobooks will feature a full-cast audio production. Audible CEO Bob Carrigan said they’re planning to have more than 100 different actors involved with the project.

There is a new article, and also a FAQ page on the Wizarding World website. Here's a recap of the important facts: * These audiobooks will be unabridged books. Meaning we get the full text, including the narrator text, and all the characters speaking. * This project will have nothing to do with the movies. All the voice actors will be completly new * Similarly, there will be a soundtrack, that is also completly new - nothing from pre-existing music. * Casting has not yet begun, but it will soon

Is this something other series have done before? If there are, I've never listened to any. I love the idea though - especially for something like HP!

Stephen Fry’s is the best version of the audio books and I’ll continue to listen to those but this is also exciting and I’ll deffo want in 😊

Anyone else remembers a couple of years ago, for September 1st, they did an audio sample, different actors, sound effects, it was pretty cool! I listen to Fry's version at least once a year, so this could be a nice change and if not, we will always have the originals

Yep, just after posting this I found an updated FAQ thanks to a comment here. It does indeed confirm new music and effects! "The full-cast audio editions will be created using Dolby Atmos technology, will feature a full cast, and will include newly recorded, bespoke music and extensive sound design."

Omg this is so cool!! I would definitely give this new Audible series a listen when it releases! I think 2025 is going to be an exciting year for the Wizarding World with all of these releases and announcements!

Jim Dale's versions will always have a special place in my heart! I do think this could be really interesting though with so many different actors. It sounds like they're trying to make a "audio-only movie" in a way.

Now they can say in audiobook hermoine is voiced by black actor thats why Hermione is black.n harry voiced by transgender that why he is transgender😂😂😂😂😂
