By looking at the information in these research notes, I think they'll add more mutated variants of creatures to the game, so perhaps you wouldn't have to wait a whole year for the bearger and you could also get the spark ark by killing a mutated koalefant or mosling (as the mobs are listed in the notes).

The fact the bosses are dead and their corpses are being controlled reminds me of how eerie and dark don't starve used to be. Also burning their lifeless body too. I like it.

I think the hardhat that woodie can make can counter the crystal rain since the hat blocks the dmg from rocks that drop in the caves.
