Thanks for talking about the whole consent thing Sisi. I think it speaks to the larger notion of how society depicts women and sexuality. If a woman embraces her sexuality she is automatically termed a slut or a whore so a lot of ladies will not enjoy being the one to initiate anything sexual up to the point that if a guy doesnt touch her, she will begin to question his manhood because he was doing the gentlemanly thing. Obviously itll be stupid to touch someone just to prove your manhood but some ladies also contribute to this whole narrative thats so ingrained in our society. The topic is very multifactorial especially in the Nigerian society even including the fact that they dont take kindly to rape survivors. Breaks my heart most especially when the hate comes from women when we should be standing together but it is well.

CONSENT!! YES!!! Thank you for taking the time to talk about it. It's really a shame that people choose to put the blame on the victim. We as Africans (I'm right next door in Cameroon) need to learn that it's just common respect to ask and it's in no way personal if the answer is no. Thank you Sisi Yemmi. Again, I love your vlogs! I get to see inside of Nigeria that we don't get to see, most of the time in the US. We only get to see the impoverished parts of African countries. so we never think about visiting or going on vacation to Nigeria or any other African country. Since I've been watching your blog I see a lot of well-known establishments there like ShopRite Cold Stone Domino's Pizza. ShopRite has been around in the US since before I was born. And everybody knows that Domino's Pizza and Cold Stone are popular here as well. so I'm glad to see some familiar companies there. it's unfortunate that we don't get to see this side of Nigeria more often over here. but thank God for Sisi Yemmi and KZfaq. I get to see a different side Nigeria that I would not get to see with major TV networks.

Sisi, this blame and shame the victim is not only in Nigeria. A judge here in the USA, basically dismissed the charges against the guy in a similar case. The guy was from a good family and his life would be ruined if he went to jail, the judge said. What about the victim's life? She spoke out in a heart breaking letter. I appreciate you and Maryam for using your platforms to bless others. KZfaq must know your videos are popular. I watched about 10 ads. I have never seen that many ads in a video before.

Sanitary towel should be free for women under 26years or Students or High School Girls. This is a much needed Initiative in Health Care for Women in Africa. Condom are free in Medical Centers. W. NEW SUBBIE............came over from Maryam Shumate channel. I love what you are doing with feeding the hungry. I too love reaching out to others and giving to those who don't have. I enjoyed your discussion on Consent. It is so sad how victims of rape are often shamed or blamed and men & young boys need more education about the subject even in developed countries like the USA. Hey Sisi Yemmie! I totally agree on the issue of consent-I feel there should be more sexual education going on in the country-its appalling how ignorant people are about women's rights to their own bodies and even on that note, the way women are perceived from a social perspective also needs to be discussed more-some people just ask you questions without any reason-the amount of times you go to places and they inquire about your marital status or you're in need of help and because you are a woman it is like your voice doesn't carry for assistance-its just a serious problem-thanks for talking about it from the perspective of consent-love your vlogs and the creator panel looked so fun :D

Another great video... I really appreciate all that you do Sisi... abundance of Blessings for you and your family! As for the Sexual Consent portion of the video, I wholeheartedly agree with you that no man should put himself on any woman that has not flat out said Yes, and I also believe that we as women should not put ourselves in situations where the lines are blurd because a high prefecture of communication is Non Verbal therefore we must take our part in being responsible for the outcome.
