To the point of reading and attending conferences, I think there should be more books and conferences for men on how to be good husbands as well. It almost feels like there's a general assumption that men automatically make good husbands and it is women who have to adjust to the man's nature to become a suitable wife, but there's absolutely no effort required in his part.

Richmond Sajini so true! I was the one going to the conferences, seminar, and doing all the reading, even understanding the bible,he just wanted to be a cave man and rule, until a younger woman came and he throw the marriage away for her. Now she throw him away and I'm no longer available. He's still in the cave trying for young girls.lol

Richmond Sajini It is so true, what you say. I think because we're called to be the "helper" of the man. Everything from a teaching point is weighted in our direction! I believe that this is so because men are deemed as "simple" once you as wife are doing all that's right by him, you will have him eating out of your hand so to speak!😕 I heard a teaching recently and the statement was made that basically if you treat your hubby like a King, there's nothing he wouldn't do for you.... As one who is single female looking and in on this subject, I feel the burden of building a good relationship is very heavily pitted 80% to the woman's role which is VERY scary. So far what I think is that woman have so much to loose as they enter marriage. I have yet to see or hear a teaching that shows me what a woman can gain from marriage (just in the sense of balance like the ladies suggested )😯 It's a very deep decision to make, being married.....!

Such is the plight of Nigerian women who are married. Then you begin to wonder if the marriage would be sweet if only one party I'd putting in all the hard work involved. Whatever happened to raising boys to be gentlemen

Sisi Yemi, I found this video interesting and quite funny. Your friend can talk oh! She had some valid points but its very obvious that both of you are still very young in the game of marriage. All I can say is "paint the portrait of your marriage with your own brush and colours don't borrow." Marriage is not "one size fits all." I've been married for almost 23 years now, so I say that with some authority. If your are both (hubby and wife) happy in your marriage, then your marriage works. It does not matter what anyone else thinks. The "agreement " is between the both of you. That said, agreements change with time because people change and mature as the years go by. You cannot expect the girl/boy you married in their 20's to be the same woman/man in their 40's. Life happens so you learn to adapt together. Cracks happen when people refuse to be flexible. It's all about happiness.😙

MRS FIKKY Just do what you feel is right for you in your marriage. You can only be a queen in your household if your husband treats you like one. That said, your happiness lies in your own hands. Never give anyone the key to your happiness. Marriage is not by force or a prison sentence. You have a right to be happy and the right to walk away. Also marrying for any reason apart from love is setting yourself up to fail. 💑

SisiYemmieTV Thanks Sisi! I got married at 22 and now have 4 kids aged 21, 18 and 13 (twins). I am blessed that I found my soulmate who loves, respects and treats me like a queen👑. I started watching your vlog by late last year. I was well impressed to the point I bing watched all your episodes in a few weeks! I have even introduced you to a lot of my friends (aged mid 30's to early 40's) over here in London! We love your work, so keep it up, you will go far! Our regards to Bob and little Tito too. I can't wait for him to start talking so we can hear what he has to say about mummy's life! (PS: I don't answer to Ma... Just call me Nikki or Nky).😂

Children are really sensitive. There was a day I had a serious argument with hubby about a general topic, we were not fighting oo. Our 4years old suddenly said, "Ema Ja" ( Don't Fight), he was almost crying. We were really surprised. So, Parents should be mindful of the kids. Prayer and commitment help to sustain a marriage. Thanks for sharing Mummy Tito

Well as for me the greatest thing that makes marriage successful is the fear of the Lord which is the beginning of wisdom. The truth is that Jesus is the founder/initiator of marriage so why not let Him from the onset even before marriage to be your life coach and therefore endow you with the peace and contentment that worldly wisdom/advice cannot give. Which then enables you as a couple to bear the right fruits as you let Him build Himself in you. I believe with this marriage becomes more of a journey embraced with a blessed union with Christ being the centre/glue.

I am just married a couple of months now and I am so happy for this video ... it is true at times I am like who is this man, he was not like this when we met and dated..june will be 4 years since we dated but 2 months since married and have lived together for only 6 months ... it's been hard because we have never lived together... sometimes I'm like this house is too small everytime I turn around he is there 😜😜😜😜. I have to apply some of the things I ladies mention because as u we're talking I saw some of myself .. like I am so used to doing my own thing.. I will have to work late and I won't even call to say that and he will call just worried about me..immo do better ... thanks ladies ..

Just my quick 2 cents: the bible doesn't ONLY instruct the wife to submit to the husband. People often just quote the first part of the passage for their patriarchal ends---read a few sentences down and it ALSO instructs to SUBMIT to each other. After the submit and respect part there is more. I can't stand it when people halfass quote bible verses when they haven't read it themselves or pick and choose what to quote. In all I enjoyed the vid--new subbie. 😀

This is my first time commenting on one of your videos (I have binged watched and re-watched several). I love you! Thanks for having your friend share with us, very insightful and necessary. I have been married for 6 years now and you never stop learning, like you guys mentioned. That statement about agreement is a major key. I have been able to let go of things that didn't pan out the way we wanted because we agreed on the decisions before making them. My mom drums this point as well and she has been married to my dad for over 30 years. This is why I don't comment, I write epistles.... Lol. Thanks again for sharing your world with us. God will continue to bless you and your family richly.

Great talk. However building your home does not preclude building your marriage. It does not mean you stop dating. That's the reason most people simply exist in marriage instead of thriving and blossoming. You cannot stop doing what you were doing before you got married. It keeps the romance in the marriage which is the missing ingredient in most marriages. Married without romance.

I've heard some females say they can't use the restroom in front of their spouses.....Mennn, thank god for how he created me. I'm real.com I ain't got nothing to hide. One thing for sure is that you can always tell marriages that great both parties don't be stressing about shit..... Sisi ur video have don a lot for me both cooking and lifestyle, the budget video u did with yomi early this year have really helped although I have no been consistent with it but that video is always ringing in my head.i just got engaged march 13 wedding coming up this Xmas in Nigeria (Owerri) me and my partner live in two different countries,it have not been easy but I thank God I can visit him anytime I want to.this video taught me a lot, things said here are things me and my partner do already like not going to bed angry everything must be sorted out before we go to bed, keeping malice why u are in a distance relationship can destroy a lot so we try our best to avoid that, thank u sooooo much to you, bobo Tito and the almighty MRSFIKKY.pls reply me on how to get this ur hair

I really like this video, ms. Yemisi and Ms. Timi. Although I am not married, I am in a very serious relationship. I like your points on openness, respect, honesty, communication, and agreement. We're both trying our best in this areas and it's really helping. No secrets! There's no need for it. Amos 3:3 "can two work together, except they be agreed?" All in all, thank you!

Tobi is amazing. Loved her she looks like a young college student. Please invite her again. And you are really rocking that Afro . You look so pretty. Love even the kids noise in the background. So funny when you said someone is about to have a spanking.. Marriage is tough but beautiful when both parties agree to forsake all others i.e. Selfish ways!!!!!and commit 💯 of themselves for the blessings of the Union! I have been married for 20years, my parents for over 60years. For me, I tell young women to learn to pray!!!Ask God for WISDOM and to equip in the spirit with knowledge and understanding in your daily life. PRAYERS!!!!!!! Brings wisdom, peace and progress in all areas of you life. I'm a Stomie Omartian fan major👍👍Love her books. Great gift for every woman. Thanks so much for you and Tobi sharing these tips! More Blessings 🙏💕
