Cricut just released the Cricut Foil Transfer Kit and I’m here to tell you all about it!
The Foil Transfer Kit is a 3-in-1 tool that allows you to transfer foil to a variety of different bases such as Cardstock of all weights, watercolor paper, pearl paper, vellum, printable vinyl, printable sticker paper, Kraft board, mat board, pasteboard, copy paper, photo paper, and faux leather.
This tool does not require heat and instead uses pressure to adhere foil to your base.
Included in the Foil Transfer Kit is a Foil Transfer Tool Housing, 3 Foil Transfer Tips, Fine, Medium, and Bold, 12 Foil Transfer Sheet that measures 4” x 6” and tape to secure your foil.
The Foil Tip is perfect for embellishing cards, adding a little glam to wedding invitations, creating stunning wall art, and creating one-of-a-kind gift boxes. It can easily elevate any simple project by adding a bit of glitz and glamour.

Hsn doesn’t tell you that it doesn’t work on tablets. The are using HP computers. I’m canceling all my orders. Does it work on MacBook Pro?

How do i troubleshoot the foil not transferring to the paper completely? The result is not a crisp solid line like yours, but riddled with speckles where the foil didn't adhere. The foil is taped taught and is not ripping. I updated my machine and it didn't make a difference, and I made sure it's not sticking to the matt prior and pulling parts of the foil off. I even tried using "more pressure" and it still doesn't work. Materials used all came with the kit: cricut foil pen, cricut kraft board paper, cricut foil transfer sheet.

I'm having the same problem... the results are horrid. I wish I wouldn't have bought it, because I already had the foil quill and it worked just fine.

I think these reveiwers either received cherry picked tools & materials to do the reviews with, or they are straight up lying to us... because this foil transfer tool DOES NOT work like they are showing in all of the video reviews.

Try using another brand of pressure-sensitive foil. Sometimes other brands of vinyl work better, so maybe it’s true with this, too. I have the kit, just haven’t tried it yet.

@@onyxwelborne I agree. I have wasted multiple sheets to try to get it looking good. if you zoom in the one printed looks bad it is not the same as the one in the frame. I wonder how many tries she had to do to get it looking good.

I'm so stumped. Cricut foil decided that it doesn't want to fill in a portion of my design and I have not found anyone yet that has addressed this problem. Is the foil only good for drawing thin lines? If not how do I get it to fill a section that was meant to be filled?

If something in design space is set to DRAW, it will draw the outlines but not fill it in. For example, if you make a heart in design space and set it to DRAW, it will draw a heart and just do the outline and not fill in the heart. I hope that helps to answer your question.

If you want to fill in a solid area, you’ll want to look into using a heat transfer method where you print and then run it through a heat laminator. Cricut only does line-work detail/accents.

What type of fonts can you use? When i try to change a font to draw/foil, I just get outlines, not a filled font.

All fonts that are in Cricut will always be an outline. It doesn’t have the ability to “fill” or “color in”. Even when cutting, it’s just following the outline of the font and it’s only solid because the vinyl fills in the space.
