I never understood why pickaxes and mattocks in games are used for mining stone only. As a former part-time landscaper, they're used for rocks *and* dirt especially with an adze at the end. And that doesn't really break them.

The instruments in the game better be like rust or other games where you can just use a macro to play some kickass music

Feels like a few days ago the community was so alive until E3 and other conventions didn't have Hytale to showcase, so now it feels like the community kinda died a little. :( but i still cant wait for the game :) And I think kinda of think the only thing holding hytale back is jobs, I think the game is ready for a beta but they need more people to make it happen, what do you think?

Gonna be honest, The hype for Hytale for me at least is kinda gone at this point. They are taking their sweet time to make it ”perfect” or as best as it can be. But in my opinion they have to start making some moves, because no matter if a product is god tier, its not gonna do so well if the creators don’t capitalize on the hype they are creating. Because that is directly connected to the amount of interesst and potential buyers of the game. I agree with the ”first impression” principle they are holding onto, but i really hope they arent just gonna continuesly add features, mechanics, and new things to the game before launch, because some games get stuck in game development hell where they always tries to make it ”better” without ever releasing it. I am glad that they are working hard, but im getting more concerned then hopeful at Hytales prospects as of recent, especially since nothing regarding Hytale came of E3. But I’ll try to stay hopeful, since I want to play this game and see it succseed

I'm somewhere between the two mentioned types of people, I'm very hopeful for this game but at the same time I wish they'd share at least a little more, I think it's great for the team to not have as much pressure as if the community would be watching their every step but I would love to see even just more footage, if not a beta test, I definitely wish I could play the game right now, but I am certainly willing to wait until they think it's ready

Having the ability to choose between any race would be amazing. Being able to become a goblin and see their perspective, it would certainly add a lot of variation.

Solid compilation of this month's news as always. Absolutely appreciate these kinds of videos, so I can see if I somehow missed anything really important. But... 3:06 What makes you think Buddhacat is holding something in that image? Looks to me like he is just jogging along with that other player, while he himself is not holding anything. Left hand is out of view and the surrounding pixels there are just a relatively colorful plant beside the path and the right hand is simply outstretched in the running animation and not seeming to hold anything, as far as I can tell. Also, personal weapon of choice is probably going to be a trusty sword and shield for me, but I do have a sort of roleplay character in mind, who I want to use a dagger on, maybe in conjuction with the nimblest short sword, I can find, if dual wielding weapons turns out to be a thing (I haven't seen that done yet though).

I have essentially set my expectations to be a blogpost by the end of the year. If there is no news by the end of the year, that is when I will be somewhat disappointed, but I don't see that as a possibility.

This game feels like a baby of Terraria and Minecraft with some unique combat Terrarias unique gameplay progression and loot Minecrafts 3dness and building With some cool combat mixed in

Not a single game can be perfect. Because someone's going to be disappointed by the game regardless how well you make the game. It's ok to have some flaws. You can fix those throughout the updates. So they should stop being scared and release the beta test by this year.

I really like the game but I'm worried that this game is going to be released when I'm 60 but I really hope it comes out soon I've forgotten about this game soo many times and yet every time I get reminded I cant wait for the game cant wait for release.

I think we need to learn from the community of bannerlord, do you know how long they waited just to get their game with the quality they wanted? It still in development but it got to the point where everyone can play because the community was VERY dedicated, if we had their patients we can get the same quality, more likely it will be better. (They also couldn’t be rushed because they were on their own payroll which I’m thankful for)

I really hope that a lot more talented people find this game and apply for positions. With the amount of time that some of the positions have stayed listed on the jobs page, I wonder if there aren't enough people with the requirements they're looking for that have applied...

Even if they wont talk atm their weekly screenshots tell alot and are for me at least very much appreciated. Hytale Friday is my Favorite time of the week and i keep reloading their twitter all 15 minutes just to see it first hand. My GUESS for Beta would be to the end of the year with simply some mini game servers at first to tweak the last bit out of combat before going to release full game in mid 2022 and while waiting im trying out all kinds of games before Hytale comes cuz i think that im going to sink thousands of hours into the game.

Imagine being able to tame monsters being able to ride up walls or repel from webs or something that would be cool. Or ya now having an orc army or becoming a lich…

Kinda load hype for this game but every bit of news on its mechanics and such are good

I think in my opinion, they should’ve took more of a Minecraft approach with a mix of their current update approach, I think they should’ve waited until about maybe 6 months to a year before launch to tease the game a bit but overall lay low on advertisements, allow KZfaqrs and interested fans to hype it up then about 2-3 months before release maybe tease the creator tools and the main premise of the games prebuilt world and the avatar customization then disappear again, release the game gobble up the first fund from buyers release a full budget gameplay and cinematic trailer, list which systems it’s out on and boom your done. You now gave players enough time to be interested from first teaser, gave modders/creators interest a few months before release and gave early adopters time to get familiarized with the systems and modders time to understand the games engine during play and outside so now when the new players come in after the cinematic+gameplay trailer they’re coming into a game that’s been been consumer tested, tweaked and reviewed

Sounds like to me they are revamping this game to be a Triple A game, so of course they need a lot more time.

Gonna be so much better than Minecraft. They want to keep it simple with few options yet crave updates and mods. Don't get me wrong. I loved Minecraft. Still do. But lack of vertical slabs sideways stairs and combinable slabs. Is driving me crazy. I really need to download java. But I can't download it on my pc. It says I need a Microsoft account. But when I type in a Microsoft account. It says error or I already have a Microsoft account. I don't know what to do. My anxiety is getting worse. I can't play Minecraft anymore. Because it doesn't have the detail or the creative choice of conquest reforged or Hytale.
