I ordered this radio a few days ago. I'm curious about how the FM performance will be compared to the TEF6686 radio, which is excellent on that band. By the way, I found out about your channel today and subscribed.

Biggest improvement many of these newer radios need is the elimination of SOFT MUTE. I will not buy a radio that has it.

The Qodosen is not as bad as some in that respect but it still does have the muting effect. Sadly so many of the modern portables are the same.

that will perhaps need a change of the inherent nature of DSP itself. Digital by nature will quantize and sample everything, that includes frequencies. They may perhaps extend the audio to cover up the intermittent muting. I like my R9700DX in these regards, but it catches so much of the RFI.
