-Definitely heat-mold. No reason not to, makes a lot of difference when you're squeezing into a skate. My Prime liners in my Tim Frankens molded up nicely. If you'd gotten the 43/44 you'd be hating them after a week or two. -I was hoping they'd fix the medial tilt in the boot/cuff (boot/cuff is tilted inward, like the skate has warped from doing a zillion topsides) that always plagued the USD Carbon Free, but it's plain to see in your footage that they haven't. The cuff being mounted a bit higher will help a little, but I can see that these are gonna get flopped out quickly just like the USDs. Some people like this because it lets them do torque and topside tricks with even less effort. Personally I hate seeing people clomp around with massive supination happening. -You can fix that over-long instep strap by removing the outer metal ring/plate thingie, poking a hold in the strap itself, and mounting it directly to the boot, at the same point the ring/plate thing was mounted. -One of my favorite-looking skates in a long time, love the whole "tech" feel and look, just wish they'd included more, well, technical improvements. A soulplate with mounting points, but no mounting on the boot? That same stupid cuff tilt? Overlong one-size-fits-all instep strap with the pointless outer strap ringplate thing again? This is fine on the Gawds for $350 complete, I guess, but at $450 boot-only, I expect more.

I don't have any tips with fixing the sizing, but that was some awesome skating. I have size 41 Seba CJ Carbon and I'm in the same situation as you, just between sizes for getting that perfect fit. I'm around 270mm and the carbon in size 41 is 267mm mondo, so my big toes will always be crushed a bit. It does get better when the heel cushioning packs in combined with using an insole with good heel lift to add a little bit of extra space in there, but it's always there and my nail has broken a few times on both feet from it. Ended up getting another pair of plastic Seba CJ in 42 to use as my aggressive setup which is 270 mondo and they fit perfect (273mm boot last). It's really hard to find boots that fit you well; especially the two piece skates because not only does the shell have to fit right, but the liner needs to work with the type of feet you have and fit the shell too. Good luck getting it sorted out! It will be bearable in a matter of time though, but until then you might have a nail or two fall off :P

You can still try and heat mold the Prime liner but I'm curious as to how the Prime liner compares to the 2nd skin liner in your Aeons and wonder if that may make any difference for you. Another option is maybe get some 3/4 insoles. It will give you a little more room in the front. I did the same with some old Carbons which came with the same stock insole as you've got in the AG Great content as always dude!

How is the wiggle room on your toes up & down? I believe the inner plastic shell is the same or very similar to the Carbon Free & Gawds. The SEBA CJ & CJ2 plastic shell are similar in many ways as well. With my SEBA skates I stretched out the toe box to give me a bit of extra room for my toes to move. I’ve done the same with Carbon Free as well because I’m also in a weird grey area of sizing & seem to have a bit of a wide foot for it’s small size. Typically for me it’s not the length that’s the issue it’s the width & height of the toe box. Definitely heat mold them for sure & then go from there as there’s some methods to stretch the toe box some & open up a little extra room. I noticed on my SEBA skates that utilizing the outer lace eyelets along with the liner lacing definitely adds more support. If you really want more solid long lasting rigidity then the Carbon boot is where it’s at. It’s weird because in the USD carbon boot theres significantly less shell material, but the strength of it is unmatched. I have gutted some Franky Carbons to run them with a liner which I skated for quite awhile with the USD VII soul plates, I also skated the VII skate beforehand, modified a pair of VII souls to use on my Salomon boots before eventually switching to Adapt or Symetrics plates. The reason for the VII soul having the hardware holes is because some models of the USD VII came with that hardware mounted. They didn’t initially have them but the VII was having some issues with frames become unaligned or the boots leaning inward because the shell seemed soft in bottom where the frame mounting hardware was, so later on they added the extra soul hardware which helped quite a bit. I think the Frankens have the hardware already in them, I’m not 100% sure. Since the Carbon souls & USD VII souls are so similar & both are flat boots with the same overall shape, both soul kits could be used on either skate. I really like the VII soul they were great, especially paired with a FLT 3 it’s like the backslide groove & the frame H block were made for one another. Hopefully after heat molding & breaking them in a bit they start to feel better, if you need more room then you may have to try stretching the toe box of the shell

If you really only need that much more space im almost 100% certain it will work out. Firstly, dont take out the insole like you mentioned last video if its not to tight vertically. More heel lift will bring your toes back. Then when you heat mold, fashion yourself something like a toecap you put in your sock. Intuition use these in their heat molding tutorials. Anything that will put immense pressure on the front will propably work! Its not gonna be fun having your feet in there but its only a couple minutes, right? 😁

Hihi, I recently bought Mery Munoz aeon pros, and my feet were too wide for them, so I've been going through an entire process to adjust the pressure points. I've found that googling suggestions from reddit or skaters has been limited to "heat gun and heat mold," which I've done. However, after briefly venting to my mother about my sizing problem, she suggested taking them to a shoe repair store, and it surprised me how it didn't occur to me that you could just buy shoe stretchers! Most of them are made of plastic but there are metal ones! If you remove the cuff there may be a hole to be able to put in a stretcher to get the job done with a $50 stretcher without having to get one of the $150 ones meant for boots. I don't know how the boots look like on yours without the cuff, but it's true for the USD Aeons. I'm planning on using a heat gun with the stretcher and I think it'll work for me! Good luck!

@@kevinkev1530 so my feet are around 263, or 42 European, and so (on skatepro) I ordered the US size 8-9 since every reddit thread about USD Aeons said they're a snug fit you have to break in and to not downsize or size up, and that they don't get much wider at larger sizes. I gambled on it and it was absolute pain to wear day 1, even after heat molding right out of the packaging. Not to mention the pressure points from the toe box's vamp. I'm going through an entire process of heat molding the liners twice, shoving a tennis ball into the toe box, heat gunning while (painfully) wearing the skate while it's super tight and also heat molding, using a heat gun while the tennis ball is inside, using a heat gun and then taking the handle of a screwdriver to push out from the inside*. *Please note, you want to heat gun the OUTSIDE of the shell, as that will soften the exterior so that any pressure from inside will help push and expand outward. Also heat gun liberally around the base of the shell when stretching with a tennis ball or a shoe stretcher, so that the plastic is uniformly pulling upwards and outwards and not just the pressure points, like the exterior plastic near the base of the foot (not the bottom of the "plate.") I've been sticking to wide swishing and circular motions until I can feel it being pretty toasted up from the inside, like a rock on a hot day; not as hot as a car on a hot day, that's too much. Start at 100 degrees Fahrenheit, and go up from there as you feel comfortable. Worth getting a heat gun with variable heat levels that go super low to super high so that you have a lot of wiggle room. If you remove the cuff, there are convenient holes to stick your screwdriver in at an angle! But that's when I also noticed it's designed so you can put in a shoe stretcher! Very good and thoughtful design by USD and Powerslide!

Interesting, because I was thinking the same. But there’s like 4 comments saying to “prop up” my foot with a taller on. Almost like a high heel shoe, to bring the toes back.

I have the exact setup. Did you have trouble with the length of frame bolts? I can’t mount mine because my bolts are too short.

Really enjoying these thoughtful reviews. I think this skate looks beautiful. Side note, but where is this park ? San Antonio? I live in New York, and seeing the grass field stretching to the horizon (2.30) behind the park makes me question my location. Rock solid skating too. Look forward to an update on fit. Also!; does the flex benefits of the Ag20 make it worth not worth going carbon / ag10?

Thank you! This is pearsall park in San Antonio. I love coming here because it’s a great skatepark and the beautiful rolling hills are great too. 🤠

I wanted to suggest before pulling out the boot stretcher put your skate in the freezer to harden the boot so you have no shrinkage. Just food for thought.

royale/backslide tricks don't look as good on these skates. it seems like less effort and less interesting. not trying to be rude or anything. how about slightly taller frames?

@@iRollerboot you've got steez bruh. it's just that soulplate is bigger so deeper groove frames make backslide tricks look easier/less interesting.
