Stellantis is doing really well... Their new Fiat, New Citroën, New Vauxhalls, smart Peugeots. All their EV's are around the same price. Choose your style and off you go. My recent EV was £35k and the HP was listed as £534/mth. However, I leased it... at only £260/mth. My old diesel consumed £250/mth in fuel. So I leased a 2022 for virtually nothing.... EV's are now affordable if you look around and choose the right deal.

@@kinocchio Look around... My car is a Citroën E-C4 Shine+... Leather etc... Citroen Web Site is £534 on HP. My lease is via a Web site called LeaseLoco. Occasionally they do "Hot Deals" with discounts. I was offered just 3 colours & had to sign up before a certain date... But £260 it certainly is!!

Don't like ev designs in general, but have to admit that this is a fine looking vehicle with enough character inside to keep me happy. Remains to be seen how it performs, but on first inspection it looks like Jeep have pulled it out of the bag. Well done.

Most EVs have different shapes to try to account for drag to increase battery range. Until we have better batteries , we're probably not gonna see amazing EVs that look like normal cars we are used to tbh. Which is fine because most people would argue that alot of them look fine or good, besides the EQS that car is not attractive, but most other EVs look good or fine.

Yep, the Interior is a 1:1 copy of the Fiat 500e. But I don't think that's a bad move, why should the Stellantis-Group develop everything from scratch for every car? It makes sense to make it good once and copy/paste from there.

Although looks are subjective, to me this is the best styled EV from the Stellantis group. Well done Jeep for sticking with physical controls too - so many other manufacturers lump most controls in the touchscreen, then provide a laggy, bug-ridden user experience. Would be top of my EV list if I had that sort of money to burn.

Very cool design. I hope they bring it to the US. Unlike previous small Jeeps, I hope this one isn't slow and cheaply made. The name really isn't very fitting for the model, but who cares? Jeep is on a roll lately. Their products are well designed and seem to be better built that in the past. I hope that trend continues on down the lineup. Also, color! I love cars that just aren't black, white or grey!

@@Leonfr_2022 it don't have 4X4 or AWD so no on off road for this one and it will be slow it don't even have 200 hp. But I get it it's all electric and won't dent your wallet

I think the front end looks quite nice. I think they should make the new Cherokee be a proper SUV like the KJ and KK previous models with that style front end.

Having watched a couple of these Avenger videos now, Rory, you were the only reviewer to have noticed the 'easter eggs' on the boot lid & glass...! Well done, you... 👍 However, you did kinda miss the neat little Jeep grille logo (like the one on the front bumper) also embossed on the alloys wheels... Oh well... so close...😉

It looks good, not too expensive. Well, all EVs are expensive. Finally a manufacturer, that listens to the customers, and we want physical buttons and ergonomic layout, not a massive distracting iPad glued to the dashboard. Like in real cars!

I really like it, solid, armoured-looking design, great proportions, and I like the "two tone". It's great to see what Jeep came up with when they said they were replacing the Compass and Patriot with one smaller model. I also like how FCA brought back the Avenger name (coupe late 90's, sedan late 00-mid teens) I hope it comes to Canada

Some notes: 1) EU has the 17 and 18inch wheel versions. 2) It shouldn't have a transmission tunnel since it's front wheel drive.

Looks really nice to me. I think the biggest competition to this is Yaris cross hybrid. Same size, similarly styled and also electrified too, it will make sense for many. I like both

Looks just like my wife's Jeep Compass! Almost exactly the same! The compass is a great every day driver and to drive cross country. We've taken it allover the Midwest to Tennessee mountains to the Arizona mountains. Just a great Jeep. Not sure why the change in name to Avenger, maybe marketing strategy. I don't see why they don't just keep the Compass name. People have already grown a custom to it.

Yes, looks great. But unfortunately for my needs the range is much too small and the charging time too long. I still have to wait for the Ioniq 3.

The low range is such a hassle but it's sadly typical with most small EVs. I love the tech but the range demands the installation of a home charger which is really expensive if you live in an apartment like most of us here in Athens. Also, it makes traveling such a pain. Most of the small EVs I've looked at, add a couple of 30' stops for a 300km journey, each way. And that's only if it's not peak time and there's no queue at the chargers (good luck with that around here). Sorry, that's just mad to even suggest it to people as an ICE alternative...

No doubt about that, and I think it's a 'fair' price considering the eletric car market in our contry currently. Definitely not cheap, but costing around as much as a Compass diesel or hybrid, wich is indeed around 240 currently, I think it's fine.

I quite like it. Is it using the same platform as my daily driver; the Peugeot 2008? One thing I have noticed with these type of cars that no one mentions. Households experience virtually no kerbing. Hurray!

Jeep came bottom for reliability in a recent survey and comes out of the same factory as the 500 which has had quality issues, after a year or two in the real world if reliability has been cracked then looks like a good drive, maybe a bigger battery range by then too.

The auto world is changing, I like it; but we really need more range from EVs. When (not if, but when), the engineers and scientist working on the Next Generation of EV batteries figures out how to scale up to production (maybe by 2028?), cars like this will have 450 miles of range.

Do you really need more range? How far do you actually drive every day? What we need is more battery stability. I live in Michigan in the U.S. and it gets very cold up here. In cold weather EV's are inefficient because the batteries take a serious hit on range their due to the cold weather.

@@Turshin Good point; however, a couple times a month, I need to drive about 300 miles in a weekend for mountain bike, skiing, or WW Kayaking trips. It would be excellent to not have to worry about range when going to locations up north where there are very few charging stations.

Don't think range will increase on any EV charging speed however can b game changer like some mobile Phone now fully charge in 20 minutes and a few minutes

@@laszlokozma187 Range will increase and charging times will improve; it's just a matter of time for this engineering problem to be solved. At least 5 major companies are working on this and spending Billion to scale up the next generation of batteries. We'll see what happens in 2028.

5:17 may i fix the design of what he is holding. move the lip over about one more inch at most buut make that little lip that divides the phone charging area, make that much taller. that tiny lip in what appears to be an offroader will be a bigger complaint if those phones arent secure.

8:05 c pillar visibility issues. major blind spot. i wonder if jeep has any car that can take a tree to the head and still drive away. i know its pushing the limits of engineering but is jeep ever gonna become that durable? can we put a bullet through the term 'they dont build them like they used to'

Those seats do not look that easy to clean, apparently UK does not get the yellow back seats, will be grey for UK. Leather /Massage seats not in 1st edition but in a another new trim level once first edition sells out. As an e2008 owner the range given is very optimistic IMO, i would say from experience given the slightly larger battery real world range of 190/ 200 in summer, 150/160 in winter. No built in Sat Nav included in the UK First Edition.

Not sure how they get a car of the year award for a car that's not even on sale yet in most countries! That said, it looks OK & it seems to address the failings of the Mokka i.e. rear legroom / door opening, boot size & slightly increased range without growing in size too much. However, like all EV's the price is too high.

Anybody remember the Hillman Avenger (Plymouth Cricket if you live stateside) from the 70s? This car is just as exciting. Colour matched dash? Woo hoo. That’s what budget models used to have. Plastic covers that come off. Yeah? How long before that gets lost. Thirty something grand and probably less that 250 miles. That’ll be fun when want to go on holiday to Cornwall and have to stop several times to get there. What is the obsession with electric cars that cost a fortune, look like a £20k Fiat and have a short range. If you are electric obsessed buy an MG4, or save your pennies and buy a used petrol motor. Emperor’s new clothes springs to mind.
