JID tweeted that he was doing these freestyles just to practice regularly and now he has 28 left after releasing 29 in 2022 and 30 in 2024. So he has a solo album coming up + one with METRO BOOMIN + 28 freestyles in the vault 2024 is HIS YEAR

@@cryezen that’s very true but i would still consider him newer to the game since he dropped dicaprio 1 in 2015 and never story, his first full length album 2017. drake had multiple platinum albums and singles by then

Great video! Super excited for what’s next up in JID’s catalogue. Tape and an album???? Also, Idk if y’all would see this but im gonna recommend you check out DoYaThing! It’s a Gorillaz song that’s unreleased for copyright reasons due to Converse stuff but it has one of my all-time favourite Andre 3000 verses plus James Murphy of LCD Soundsystem. The songs a bit off kilter but goddamn 3K is insane on it.

He actually says he’s dropping a tape before the album. I think we’re gonna get a mixtape first, maybe around March, then drop an album July-August. The real question is if his mixtape is the collab project he has with Metro Boomin or not
