An uninterrupted reinforced jogless transition from the neck ribbing to the body of a sweater worked from the top down without breaking the yarn and without knots. Perfect especially for knitting with the yarn on cones - continuous uninterrupted knitting. Total control over the number of stitches - no guess work. Without a jog/completely jogless. Suitable for turtleneck and snug fitting neck opening.
Took me some brainstorming to develop when I worked on my sweaters. I did not want to break the yarn, and I wanted the turtleneck ribbing to be cast-on with a very elastic Italian cast-on method. So the rib had to be worked top down. But without the reinforcement the neck ribbing would stretch and loose shape. I also made it double-sided to wear the sweaters on both sides. Hope you’ll find it helpful.
