Jason....I have to tell that you are one of the "best things" to come along in our hobby (ie: craftsman kit building) in a long time! There are many excellent ambassadors/manufacturers of this hobby that remain and continue to "up the ante"...FOS Scale, Sierra West, Bar Mills...and of course Carolina Craftsman Kits (and others not named). But your insatiable love of creating, building, teaching and sharing of this hobby is something that deserves a very warm and deserved "thank you". You continue to impress and I ALWAYS look forward to your new videos. Extremely inspiring!! So...thank you Jason!! P.S. - Of course I had to purchase this kit! It's a beauty. Can't wait to get it....

You are probably using building corner trim, but usually the non-gable ends should fit inside the gabled ends so that the roof will not have a gap at the top of the non-gabled walls. That means that the bracing on the non-gabled walls should be flush with the sides and the gabled walls should have the bracing inset to accommodate the bracing on the non-gabled walls. However, since you are probably using corner trim, that gap at the top of the non-gabled walls will be minimized when the roof is put on the shell of the building. You don't have to ask me how I know that. This kit is beautiful. Keep up the good work!!!!

The first time I saw photo's of George Sellio's model I was amazed. Everything looked so realistic that unless I saw an obvious "model" object (usually a Kadee Coupler) It was difficult to tell whether it was real or not. Then I found out that some of the model structures I had built where his and the prototype was on the layout. Now, we have folks like you who are taking his example and going further. Jason You are just as good as George, in your own way. Never stop, never stop. ;-)

Another wonderful model Jason and beautifully built.👍👌😁 The metal castings add so much to scenes like this and the tiny, finishing touches, like the newspapers and leaves bring it to life. Even the odd bits of wood, scattered about the ground, they all add a little something. I've noticed you don't install lighting on/in your buildings; any special reason? Even if you forget about about interior lighting, would external lights, lit signs etc not highlight some features? That's not meant as criticism, just interested.😁 Cheers for now, Dougie.

Another awesome kit Jason! Your creativity knows no bounds! Hope you're enjoying your weekend? I have been scratch building a tiny house in the medieval Tudor style that will fit on one of my thumb nails. Ara with Bentley House Minis is building a replica of the house from the movie Beetlejuice. In the movie house, there is a diorama of a neighborhood. Ara put out a call for those who are interested, to build a little house for that diorama. I decided to do it. I've never made anything so small, and my goodness, there is so much detail work, but I am having a blast making it! I actually posted a WIP pic of it on my Instagram today. The house base fits on a dime, which is larger than one of my thumb nails, and it's about one and a quarter inch high. A little while ago, I spread on the stucco. I am going to have to attempt some sanding on that. It was a little messy. Then, I need to shingle the roof, add all the wood trim pieces, uncover the windows, install the doors, and finally, Paint! Oh, I have made provision for a light too! So much fun! Take it easy Jason! Lisa

What if you want the clapboard sheathing on all of the walls and corrugated tin covering all of the roof surfaces? What about using a linoleum v-gouge cutter to make the cracks in the foam? What about using small barrels for supporting the work benches? Can I suggest adding a period motorcycle to the kit that could be left sitting in the corner of the lot on the concrete or sitting halfway into the garage?

You could make small diorama's that on themselves are pretty to look at and take not that much space. Pun intended. And make them in a way that two or more of those diorama's make a larger one when put next to each other. I am starting that myself now. I live in a small house. Although I have a huge attic, I don't really want to build there. It's cold and I need the place to stuff stuff. So I decided that it would be fun to make a small interchangeable diorama in my living room on a picture ledge above a dresser. First I wanted to make one large diorama from 1m20/4ft, but I decided to only make the front one piece, that is a canal wall and road. And behind that the buildings are all small dioramas in themselves which put together create a wall of houses. Magnets will help with that. The idea is that I can get one out, work on it, while the rest is shoved towards each other. I might make it one large one eventually. The main idea is to create several so I can switch them during the seasons. So in the summer I have small summer situations like kids in an inflatable pool, someone having a bbq on the rooftop of another building and so on. While in de fall there is someone sweeping leafs. I am looking forward most to making the winter and Christmas edition. Of course all with lights. So each section will have an extension plug to the next one. Since I am working on very small pieces in H0 scale, I am planning to go insane on the details. Also inside the houses. From complete interiors of the shops to some action in a certain bedroom. There will be so much to look at. I think a lot of huge layouts look nice, but I enjoy it more to make small pieces of art. You can start or stop with that when you want and it also doesn't take up a lot of space. The pieces I am working on are stored in a Billy bookcase with glass doors, so even there it looks like an exhibition when I am not working on them. Keeps everything tidy and clean. Also that is kind of a must with two cats haha.
