I think it was ploughing at its best at about 6 inch deep as all the grass sod was been rolled over and burying the green. However, the landslide was not running flat in the furrow, it was riding too high on an angle. So I think that the top link was always too short in the demo's. If that land slide was running flat in the furrow and the mould board was still turning the grass sod right over and burying the green, I would have been most impressed. Still, ploughing is about learning and yours did the job. Good stuff.

Painted plow shear and moldboard are hard to pull through the ground until paint wears off, best thing to do is buff the paint off before use.

Doing it in the spring the vegetation need to lay for a couple of weeks so it can go through initial decomposition heat to prevent seedling 🌱 damage. You can go ahead and disc harrow and build your beds but, harrow them down ready for planting. But, do not plant for 10 to 14 days to allow the decomposition heat to pass.

To bad I ain't there to help you adjust your plow before you run out of yard! LOL, the heel of your landslide is to be touching the ground, the landslide and top link are to be working together to get right depth, and maintain the correct depth. See time Frame 20:48 see how the heel is not down to the ground, not hitting bottom if you will. Like walking on your tip toes.

Plow at the speed of a horses' walking speed. At one time it was thought that the ground would get burnt from plowing to fast. A superstition of years ago.

Looks like a little too much pitch. For proper clearance there should be only a fingertip's space between the rear landside and furrow bottom

+Rdrake1413 That's correct, but we couldn't adjust the tractor lift arms to the proper setting because of the lack of tools at the location. It did a really good job and with some more adjusting, it would be perfect!

When I plow the sod falls back into the furrow and makes the next pass horrible. If I dont clean it out by hand before the next pass the front tire rides on top and makes the plow go deeper,,causing all kinds of issues on each pass to come. I have tried different angles and different speeds. Seems I always get it figured out at the end of the job. And then forget by the time ,next year,I am doing it again. And after plowing,,running the plowed area over with a tiller is a wild ride on my little sub compact.

In Europe they make double bottom 8" and 10" plows for subcompacts. I have never seen these offered by anyone in the US. I don't know why.

Need to take the tilt out from front to back, and when you move over unplowed ground should have adjusted the plow just count the rounds it took to level the plow up so when you went back all you have to do is just count it off. And after the paint is gone it will take ground better. But overall the plow looks like a good one and if I needed one I would sure take a look at it before buying another one. Do they make a 2 bottom plow?
@EverythingAttachments
@EverythingAttachments 3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, it takes some fine tuning to get a plow where you want it, and slick metal plows better than paint!! Check out all of our plow models here www.everythingattachments.com/3-Point-Garden-Plows-s/74.htm

@@EverythingAttachments I went to the website and I really like the look of them 2-14 bottom plow I been looking at 3 different tractor and depending on which one I end up with will determine what size plow I need. I really like that you all ship with a 1000 miles free I live in western ky. But we still have that red clay dirt, just not as red. What I can tell your equipment look well made, I also really like that you try your best to buy your part in the USA but I do know it hard to find everything made here because over the years companies moving out

I love the video good knowledge I have my own garden bed I don't have a big tractor or a plow I rototiller but as I'm watching this I'm having a stupid question. So if he getting a foot of depth when he makes a run and he rolls it over, does that mean he's getting roughly a foot and a half to two feet of garden bed?

I'm wondering if a layer of spray urethane on there would help the sticky face? Instead of waiting for the paint to wear off.
@EverythingAttachments
@EverythingAttachments 7 жыл бұрын
Anything would probably wear off quickly, but they perform the best after the paint is worn and the metal is shining!
@Bob63198
@Bob63198 7 жыл бұрын
well, maybe. I mean they use urethane on bowling alleys, though they are oiled as well. It was just a thought at something to try. I like the painted appearance more so than bare metal, even though it is a necessary evil. Just a thought, thank you for responding.

Don't you mean draft control instead of position? Draft control- the 3pt lift automatically adjusts up or down based on the drag force of the implement to maintain the desired speed/rpm. Position control- is a fixed height that will bog the tractor down if the drag force is too high, which you would manually have to raise the 3pt lift in order to maintain speed/rpm and not bog down...
@sfstravist
@sfstravist 6 жыл бұрын
Either would be better than what the B series has, which is neither Draft or Position control.

I was plowing Fields when I was 12 years old. Big farm equipment, but the same process, hundreds of acres. Your plow is not adjusted anything close to correct. Back wheel in the plow furrow.. I guess you have to. But everything looks wrong. The angles. The whole design of the plow. Even your guide wheel... It perhaps has to be behind. Just look at a normal farm implement plow.
