I got to many to list here haha, though with them doing the Riot stormtroopers I hope we get the Shock troopers, or riot troopers/coruscant guard for the Republic.

Still want an operative Chirrut with Baze counterpart or vice versa. Throw Bodi in as an upgrade for a Pathfinder Unit. Finally a Rogue One theme list so I can take it all

These are good clarifications. I wish they would have clarified independent to call out if it happens before command card effects. I believe there is a ruling on the forums, but having it in the rulebook makes it more accessible.

I received the core box a year ago, but haven't started assembling or playing yet. If I'm just starting with the core (vader+luke) box, do I need to worry about using updated rules? Is there a benefit to starting with these, instead of what came in the box? I'm feeling intimidated trying to learn, and I'm not sure the best way to get started.

Pretty sure X-wing is dead at the moment. Bringing objectives into the game was the final nail in the coffin I believe. Legion is still going strong but slow releases as the focus seems to be on Sharterpoint.
