"Our navy have many traditions, while some of them are just like what other navys have, there were a few special ones, one of each is the tradition of sinking the escort ship last during a convoy raid, according to research such tradition were formed due to our sailors found out the fact that they are more superior than their enemy in every way during combat, and such traditions were to insult the enemy or add challenge to themself- like using only one hand in a fight and roasting your opponent after you won. Simliar act was originated when two of our destroyers were able to sneak around a british battlecruiser(it was long sunken by now) and sink all the merchent ships it escord mutiple times, and this exact move was formed after the famous "invincible ship" incident, where since then every raid group followed this unspoken rules. According to a captian of one of the destroyers, such moves also provide more chance to train their crew in real combat while the ship as whole are under controlable risk, "Due to our superiority in naval combat, we rarely able to find ourself in small combat where we can actually train our crew and let them learn something they can never learn in the academy, not before one decisive large battle that cripples the enemy's entire navy." Funny fact: Cl Stettin comes from the name of the city. Now it is a Polish city and its name is ,,Szczecin", which city I come from. Greetings from Szczecin 😅

I've got to say, Maybe it was just chance but if not for the comical lack of armor the Northumberland is pretty much a perfect counter to the German Navy of this campaign. Stealth's guns are so large that at this point with the current British armor quality even close to max armor probably wouldn't protect them so well from the battleships and battle cruisers. So instead, you make a fast ship that can avoid being hit in the first place, because some of the larger enemy guns can take upwards of 5 mins to reload. (Looking at you Loki.) Better to roll the dice every 5 minutes, then to get hit by those shells in the first place. Pretty cool to see from the game, even if it was just by chance.

You forgot to update the Seeadler's fuel Fun fact: If you abuse the hell out of the game(insanely high research rate) it infinitely upgrades your armour, accuracy, engines and torps

The BC Northumberland has what the British call "Nothing or Nothing Armor". RADIO - gives aiming bonus. Stealth almost never fits it.

I've been noticing that about the radio for months, now. Stealth seems to think radio is only useful for the Radio Direction Finder before radar is invented, so as soon as he invents radar he never uses radio again. It actually gives an accuracy buff that increases with fleet size, and each ship in the fleet gets the buff, making it an exponential powerup. They may have nerfed it since, but back in the pre-steam days I tried to do a seal-clubbing mission with a Super Yamato vs about 50 floating hotels - but the hotels all had radios, and picked me apart from long range with 90% accuracy (not kidding).

There is an annoying mechanic where the citadel will not automatically cover the engine spaces. This means that those British battlecruisers have an Achilles heel. In effect, it means that any serious hit can knock out the engines with ease since the game considers them outside of the citadel. I've had that problem designing French forward battery ships where the funnel apparently marks the end of the citadel, but the engine (the red bar in the ship indicator) sticks out beyond the citadel. I would very much like that to be fixed with an opportunity to have the underwater citadel if the engine compartments do extend beyond the smokestack. Just helpful to know, and can be easily rectified with a 9 inch -20 gun length saluting gun in order to expand the citadel to cover said engine room.

Nice video, for those who are facing problems with stutters, I advise you to watch video at 1.5x, his speech is fairly understandable at that point, and stutters dont bother much at that speed.

As the Ariadne docked, her Captain could be heard cussing and swearing. Complaining that his shells must be defective, his fuel substandard, how else did the Brits nearly escape him. Courier handed him a telegram as his foot landed on the dockside. He tore it open, expecting bad news, but as he read his normal broad grin returned to his face. Refitting, with better everything. The Brits will not escape!

Okay you’re on episode 45 of this one campaign I’m not paying attention to the combat gameplay anymore more or less. I like watching you build new ships and refit old ships. But I’m really here for the admiral/captain/chancellors logs. Mainly because I love listening to people tell stories and you’re no exception.

I think in the German Reich there will be an Ariadne Day. Like there was Sedan Day in the real Kaiserreich. All people will don their best clothes, old men will wear their navy uniforms with pride, and little boys in sailors' gear will put their toy ships to battle in the lake in the park. In the history of Germany Ariadne will never be forgotten (unless it runs like the real history, that is...). Great video!

I guess it is a bug, but if you go to somethingh with a boiler, then change the boiler to forced and after that switch to Gas Turbines, you'll have a better engine efficiency ;)

What's up with the set crew indicator in your fleet panel? Does this affect anything?

It makes sure that your ships are automatically gaining new crew after they come back with losses. For some reason it's off and it doesn't save that I turn it on

*Personal Log Kapitän-Leutnant Erich Weigand, Commander of the Stettin:* My Report on the performance of the new Light Cruisers has been submitted to the Head of the Admiralty. My most objective analysis, propped up with the necessary amount of patriotic bootlicking, required from a career-officer. The opportunity to be the one to make this report, especially after such a favourable engagement is a gift from above and surely a headstart in the sharktank that is our naval officer-corps. The Vessel was... Satisfactory in its performance. That much is objective truth, even though I am not in the least satisfied at heart. By all metrics the ship was what the Admiralty hoped it would be. A cheap, nimble warship, able to sweep the North Sea from pesky British Destroyers and convoys at a fraction of the cost of the Seeadler. The cynic in my is happy at this great career opportunity. But I God knows that I do not cherish this transfer at all. I was elated to be promoted off of a Destroyer. It takes a certain kind of character to make a Destroyer-Kapitän and I am no such man. I am meant for the line of battle. So naturally my hope was to be stationed on a Vessel of the Vaunted Seeadler-class. Now that's a warship! Though twice the tonnage of the Stettin, it's still a light Cruiser, but it has the bite and spirit of a small Battleship. Like the fearless Dackel my father would take on Boarhunts. The Stettin is no such ship. Slower, less survivable, smaller and without the Seeadlers heavy secondary battery. This is not the ship that I want to meet enemy Battlecruisers with. I simply moved from one destroyer to another. Nevermind. My service to the Kaiser will be fulfilled in whatever capacity he requires. At least the raids will make for easy work and it keeps the men happy and safe. That should be my priority after all. But if I do meet a British Capital Ship and I am indeed able to take it on like the Ariadne did...

I have completely stopped auto resolving battles, even if I have a huge fleet facing a single CL or something. Having all your ships taking damage like that and not even sinking the enemy is just not worth it.

the lizzard people have taken over britian and are supplying the aristocracy with advancements and materials in exchange for farming the native population. where naval service grants the families protection from the harvest in order to keep recruitment high.
