New Lighting and Color tools in Topaz Photo AI V2

Topaz Labs has released Photo AI v2, a new version of their photo enhancement software for macOS and Windows that includes two interesting new AI-driven tools: Adjust Lighting and Balance Color. In this video, I demonstrate how these new tools work and test them out with a collection of landscape images.

Thanks for this review of the Lighting and Balance Color Betas in Topaz Photo AI v2.0, If you click on the icon on the left of these 2 tools, it opens each tool with an intensity / Opacity sliders

Thank you, Todd. Wow! Surely, Topaz informed you that they design this product for ME! Awesome, I have this software, but I have not explored this feature. BTW you forgot one description in your conclusion: This is for hobby photographers that like the "quick and dirty" approach to post production! Many thanks. ❤

Thanks for sharing info about so great tool. It, however, does not work yet with all devices due to some sort of issue/conflict with Nvidia drivers if auto face detection is turned on. What I also want to have in next release, is possible to use light and color balance settings in batch processing as other features already do.

They better focus on the optimizations of available features (there is much to do!) before adding other beta functions nobody was asking for

I did not use v1.x Photo AI because it was so bad with artifacts. V2 is significantly better, especially with sharpening and subject selections. However, I still find DeNoise AI and Sharpen AI to often produce better results with the brushing and controls.

So would you say it's worth upgrading from V1 to V2 if you have to pay the upgrade fee? Would it be better to stick to the standalone Denoise and Sharpen software that have received more recent updates?

@@sholaallen4873 Very good question. I did have to upgrade, but I think the jury is still out. I did use V2 on a job yesterday and it did well, largely because there was a clear subject for sharpening. I think I could have gotten as good a result with DeNoise AI and Sharpen AI, but it would have taken much longer. There was a very clear difference between V1 and V2, for the better.

Previous “Free Trials” of Topaz AI did not allow the edited files to be saved, unless the trial version of the software was then purchased. Does anyone know whether this is still the case with this Topaz AI V2?
