NOTE: If you have the CTGP 7 mod for Mario Kart 7, CTGP 7 will automatically do it for you next time you update!

yea but if you update threw the updater then need to manual download on pc and drag and drop the new version on your sd card.

I just modded a spare 3ds I had, keeping my hardware modded 3ds vanilla for a few reasons (my Nintendo account being on it for a start). I'm new to all this and just wanted to find out how to get back to the settings. Which you explained and then some so thanks for that!

Tysm for this video! I was unaware of an update, and I use a modded old 3ds. I don’t even bother with the system update thing. All I do is update Luma! I'm used to denying nintendo updates atp lol!

I’m still stuck at v12.1. I think it’s because I first updated my 3DS to the latest firmware (it’s since V11.17 is out I got forced) version before I tried to update luma. Now I can’t update luma but I need the latest version of luma for everything and I don’t know how to fix this 🤷‍♂️

I updated Luma3ds, some of my save files got corrupted and when I try to open some of my games I get an "An exception occurred" screen.....

I updated My Luma 11.17.0-50U to 13.1.2 it works fine the systems says my luma3ds is 13.1.2. but when I tried to connect it on WiFi. It won't let me update my system software? Please can you help me?

If you see the green up icon, go update the app.

Mine is still stuck on 12.0, even though I updated it trough the universal updater and manually and the universal updater saying I have the latest version, when I restart it it still says 12.0 and the new netpass still says it is 12.0 and that I need to update at least to 13.0. Can someone help me ?

I have the same issue I’m stuck at v12.1. I think it’s because I first updated my 3DS to the newest firmware version before I tried to update luma. Now I can’t update luma but I need the latest version of luma for everything and I don’t know how to fix this 🤷‍♂️

I have a question that's unrelated to the topic, but maybe you can help me here. In my Streetpass Mii Plaza on the 3DS, I have an issue where the DLC minigames keep disappearing. I've edited the internal save file of Streetpass Mii Plaza to unlock the DLCs, and of course, I've also downloaded the DLC content. However, despite this, these DLC minigames keep disappearing after a while and are only available again when I redownload them from the h-shop. Do you have any idea what I might be overlooking or doing wrong?

Stop visiting the eShop because it will make the Mii Plaza DLC that you download through the green app will disappear.

@@DeltaZinnia Any illegitimate DLCs that are not from the eShop still gets removed if you visit the eShop. It happened to my Smash Bros 3DS DLC because I visited the eShop and it removed my DLC maps so I have to go redownload from the green app. Just don’t visit the eShop if you don’t want any illegitimate DLCs removed. If you did purchase the DLC, it wouldn’t affect it.

Splash is like a welcome image you get to download on theme plaza, when put in a folder and enabled in luma. Once you turn on, it will splash the image. Kind of nice do the custom splashes. But I don't recommend it, when I do it my 3ds be ticking for a while xd

@@Bambookeyy Nvm I found out it was my wifi router acting up. I restarted it and now it connected my 3ds without a problem. Try restarting your wifi router and see if it fixes your problem too!

I think Nintendo no longer supports the 3DS family of systems as all internet connections to Nintendo are gone. So I doubt that there will be any more updates.

Hopefully Nintendo doesn’t do it! Superskaterhax is still there for new 3DS and new 2DS systems while MSET9 is still new for old 3DS and 2DS so hoping that doesn’t patch out like Sony was doing with the PS3 putting new updates.

you can start downloading the boot.firm without the green arrow anyway, mine didn't show any green arrow and i still proceeded to download the boot.firm and it updated my luma just fine.

Yes it is necessary to update the luma 3DS version to prevent the arm 11 if your 3DS is running an older version
