5:59 could be a reasonable chance with Japan being very health and community minded. Would be useful for older population and immunocompromised people. Maybe even for people with newborns - lots of sterilizing bottles, dummies, et cetera. A lot of the weird Makita tools exist because it makes sense in Japan.

The 1990s design of that upright vac always makes me laugh, it's functional I suppose. Spot cleaner would be good for car detailers.
@makapaka71596 ай бұрын
It would be nice if Makita could release the XGT jump starter (something like Ryobi did). I work with a lot of flat car batteries, and I use jump starters (jumper cables too) quite often. I need a portable jump starter because most cars have been sitting in the yard for weeks before it's their time to be repaired, and I don't like to haul long extension cords or new/charged batteries when some cars are sitting up to 40m away. I know that I'm lazy 😅, but when the battery isn't completely ruined, I would like to start it and drive the car to the workshop, repair it, and get it out of the yard as fast as possible (there is too many cars there already).

Couple of coins in the terminals of an 18v, stick your jump leads on works a treat 😂

For those wondering why I have a yard full of cars 😅, my father and I are buying used cars from private sellers and companies (like cleaning companies, for example), repairing and cleaning them to sell them later. We've got a lot of diesel vehicles, mostly VW, Audi, Volvo, and BMW (and a lot of other popular European cars). So, dead battery is a common occurrence.
@nominalvelocity6 ай бұрын
I'd absolutely buy one as well. It got down to -16F the other day, needless to say, a lot of batteries suffered.

That 40v spot cleaner is a must for dispatch cleaners like me... 18v dust-only vacuum isn't good enough (many locations won't allow using plugs) and I could add small carpet cleaning to my schedule. I could finally scrub and vacuum liquids in an efficient way (since I have about an hour to finish each location). For cleaning apartments and offices, this will change the game. Also do a 40v retractable power scrubber with plenty of scrubs, mops and polish heads and I'll happily advertise your XGT line for free, Makita.😁

Makita have great sander, 125 mm are for hobbyist , 150 mm are for pros, same with belt sander , and you need dust vacuum on those , so corded it is . Bosch is good too, you can get spare parts for 30 year old power tools , other brands with long service life are Festool and Hilti . Milwaukee are when they go, it is just to buy new tools, better option is buy Ryobi , cheaper tools , same quality .

I am a huge makita fan, but almost all of these tools seem silly. Ok, the powered trolly might make sense in certain warehouse settings. The uv germ killer probably doesn’t make sense for contractors anywhere, but it could make sense for medical teams dealing with epidemics in remote areas without proper medical infrastructure. If i had a bunch of messy kids then maybe i would buy that steam cleaner, but it’s not really something that a carpenter would need. It might make sense for some pro cleaning crews who come in after a burst sewage pipe? I don’t know… Personally, I would be more excited about a next gen track saw with a couple new nice-to-have features like maybe an optional riving knife or anti-tip tabs or a nice splinter guard… Maybe a miter saw that’s more precise but somehow reduces weight… maybe a compact xgt air compressor… something like that,
