➡️The new Maruti Suzuki Ertiga is now based on the Heartect platform that also underpins the likes of the Swift and the Baleno. The new car is larger as compared to its predecessor in terms of length, width, and height, and it shows.
➡️The first thing that comes to mind when the new Ertiga is viewed in profile is the window line and the distinct design feature on the C-Pillar.
➡️The new Maruti Suzuki Ertiga gets a brand new petrol engine. It is the same 1.5-litre motor that debuted a few months ago on the Ciaz facelift and makes the same 103 bhp of peak power and 138 Nm of peak torque.
➡️The petrol engine is mated to a 5-speed manual and a 4-speed automatic, which is a torque converter or traditional automatic and not an AMT like on some other Maruti cars.
➡️The diesel on the other hand is a 1.3-litre DDIS 200 spec motor making 89 bhp of peak power and 200 Nm of peak torque.
➡️The Maruti Suzuki Ertiga is available with both, a petrol and a diesel engine.
➡️The petrol, as mentioned earlier, also gets both manual and automatic while the diesel gets only the manual option.
➡️The manual Ertiga is available in four variants, L, V, Z, and Z+ with the VI or DI for petrol or diesel respectively, while the auto gets the VXI and ZXI variants only.
➡️Prices for the petrol manual range from Rs 7.44 lakh for the base model LXI to Rs 9.50 lakh for the top-of-the-line ZXI+ model.💰
➡️The petrol automatic on the other hand is priced at Rs 9.18 lakh for the VXI and Rs 9.95 lakh for the ZXI variant. Prices for the diesel range from Rs 8.84-10.90 lakh.💰

Is the automatic petrol a good option for mostly city drive and monthly once highway drive. And what about long term usage of automatic since you would have seen it on Ciaz?

I live in Delhi, my life becomes a shit show in Delhi traffic because of constant gearing up and then down, desperately want ertiga with automatic but with this being only Petrol 4speed torque converter, I gurantee you the fuel efficiency will be 15km PL and after 5 yrs might be even less (guessing). Due to insane traffic levels and tedious micromanagement. Automatic is great for open highways or if you don't care about fuel efficiency. If the car has more complex gearbox in diesel with 7 speed it'll be much much much appreciated.

Ashish Kejriwal honda Ivtec is the smoothest engine you can get with market leading NVH LEVELS. maruti is good too, but honda comes with better fit and finish and slightly better brand Image. :)

just adding my two cents: BRV is more premium... however on every other count Ertiga tops it .. be it space...comfort...fuel efficiency... and most importantly after sales service/maintenance... beware BRV is a narrower car...

PLEase compare with marazzo because marazzo is comparatively more spacious than ertiga..Iam fall in love with marazzo but confusion with ertiga but third row is not at all safe and good in ertiga as marazzo third is superb ..And i need a car for my whole family atleast 8to 10 members
