I know nothing about kitchen appliances and I looked up Miele and I'm sold instantly. Next kitchen purchase will definitely be Miele.

Thank you for the spray arm removal demo! Miele makes great appliances but terrible owner's manuals--couldn't figure it out on this newer model.

After 18 months waiting, I'm finally getting a 7566 delivered this week. I reallllllly wish they had a pocket handle version for the G7000. Currently you'd have to buy a panel ready version and their $400 pocket handle panel to get one. This'll be my first dishwasher with a towel bar, so we'll see how many times my hip checks it lol

Thanks, great job on this series. Would like to have seen a real quick summary of the differences between this and the Malay model directly above and below it though. Otherwise very informative one of the best out there

One of the benefits for the wifi would be loading up the dishwasher whenever you want and then scheduling it to start later. Maybe to start at a time when energy is cheaper or starting it later when everyone goes to bed.
@appliancesexplained Жыл бұрын
You can do that with the delay function too but sure. 😉

Great video! Have you had any issues with the new filter system compared to the old trap door system? Filter need to be clean more often? Any draining or motor issues? Thanks.

So far so good! I’ll do a video on cleaning the new filter soon.

Thanks for the review. I'm looking to buy one. Do plastics come put dry?
@appliancesexplained3 жыл бұрын
Not really. The heat of the final rinse is hot enough to get the glass and silverware really dry. Unfortunately, the plastics (by nature) don’t absorb the heat from the water enough to get them completely dry. This is the case for almost all dishwashers. The 7000 Series, does however, pop the door open a few inches at the end of the cycle. So, if you’re not in a rush to unload the dishwasher, or if you were to run the dishwasher before going to bed, the plastics would eventually “air-dry”.
@sixthangel97163 жыл бұрын
@@appliancesexplained I see. Thank you. I guess I can live with that if it dries the dishes. I just have to use plastics less.

FWIW, I have an older generation of an upper-end Miele dishwasher model with features very comparable to this one here, the main feature being the auto door opens a couple inches at the end of the cycle. If you use the Extended Drying option with your wash cycle, it increases the temperature of the final rinse then a fan runs for a while after the door opens and it blows all of the water vapor/steam out of the unit. In my experience, this does a very good job of drying plastics, we use this option every time we run the dishwasher.

@@nhaukap Which model do you have? I'm looking for the 7000 series but if the one you have is almost the same i can buy that one instead. Thx!

@@williamhickerson4316 Mine is the G5975, but it's about 8 years old and has been discontinued/replaced by the newer models. Even though I just had to have it repaired for the first time (a pricey circulation pump), I chose to put the money into fixing this 8 year old machine rather than buy a new one. It's been an excellent dishwasher by all measures, worth the money in my opinion.

My $2300 Miele dishwasher is utter trash. Barely 5 years old and drain motor wouldn’t stop running with waterproof error. Replaced non return valve. Wasn’t the issue. Took out the drain pan. Bone dry. Replaced floater switch. Nope. Opened the controller board - bingo. The board burned out the plug (the 7 connector plug) connected to my drain motor. The motor refused to stop draining. Paid Miele $300 only for them to tell me it’d cost another $1200 to fix. Are you for reals??? They blamed me for user error. What the what??? How on earth do I burn out the controller board? Don’t buy Miele. They claim they have such great reliability but mine didn’t last 5 years. Trash. I threw out that $2300 paper weight and bought an LG.

Hello! Have you had any issues with this dishwasher and need service? I’m in the process of looking for a new dishwasher. Thanks
@appliancesexplained5 ай бұрын
No issues whatsoever.
@footsmakenzyhellothr2 жыл бұрын
Our fully integrated Miele dishwasher stopped working and Miele wanted almost 1k to fix it. I expect that the machine should last a lot longer. The reputation and quality for lasting 20 years is obviously false advertising and a bunch of baloney. You can’t get any deals on new machines and only Miele can fix them at absorbent prices. Very unhappy with their product and attitude
@appliancesexplained2 жыл бұрын
Let me guess, the circulation pump? You can try and negotiate on the price of the pump to bring the cost down. If it’s less than 5 years old and you’re the first owner they typically give you a break on the parts cost. If not, replace it with a Cove.
@jwester70092 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately it looks like Miele has done some cost savings. It's probably due to competition from other brands. Some of the features I liked about the older models seem to be gone
@ChromeLuxx5 ай бұрын
It’s not competition, it’s money in the executive and investor’s pockets that motivates making rubbish and a high price. GREED FIRST! What they miss is quality at all levels would guarantee sales volume increases and allegiance. Stepping over dollars to make fast pennies.

Hidden controls tend to have issues with moisture across all brands. Miele is generally better sealed.

Why did they go to a plastic bottom spray arm ? Premium appliance maker also starting to cut corners yet charging you premium prices.

I know that in the car industry it’s got to do with recycling. Metal takes more energy to recycle.

@@appliancesexplained Another made up term "cost effective" by the industry. In double speak it means we're going to cheapenn the product and still charge a premium for it. So much for the Germans and their Immer besser.
Can you please do a video on the controls. I have a brand new one and I have tried turning on the controls today and they're very difficult
@appliancesexplained Жыл бұрын
When you press the controls, try holding your finger on the button just an extra half second. I believe Miele adds a slight delay on the responsiveness of controls to deter kids from playing with them.
