The IGN event is now over and they never even showed the snap stuff on stream lmao, what a quality partnership. Maybe the announcement is still in the in concept stage 😂

The new mode is such lose, why not idk set a deck for players to play in the diner? Betcha you can play whatever you want, which takes away from the event/theme and bascially them saying 'hey its' ladder, but not ladder poke poke. Borders are sets of 3, so that's quite nice, but knowing they don't plan on letting borders for gold allot for more than one card, it's still idk...just no incentive. Collectible infinity splits went out the window with custom cards - which I 100% LOVE so no more splitting over and over and having vast amounts of nothing...I would love to see splits happen on the borders then!~ No mention of ladder rewards overhaul or any sort of incentive to create that new and exciting game I remember playing a year ago, seems like IGN and SD are making some really great decisions in turning off what they want us to be engaged with.

I like the idea of a separate ladder to climb each season, especially because I find Conquest tedious & post-infinite ladder pointless. But agreed that it's going to cause a lot of player anger if the exclusive card is too difficult to attain.

I really hate being a doomer but What are we even supposed to be excited for when they are willing to cut something like character mastery that is super hyped up and in the “coming soon”. Wish the feature team was as competent as the monetization team No wonder features take forever too come out they wasted probably insane amounts of dev time just on character mastery

I'm pessimistic with some slight optimism, if clans are underwhelming it might be the last straw for this dolphin. They add stuff far too slow.

agreed, I'm sure some will be excited for a draft mode but at this point who knows if it ever makes it out of the concept stage like previously axed features

I hate the idea of gatcha in marvel snap but if they release a simplified version of 3 card packs with a chase would be surreal for getting new cards and variants.. maybe draft wins in the new game mode only or league , the player get booster packs, if you have the card you get 35 boosters, if you don’t, you get a new series 4 maybe 5 card that you didn’t have by increasing the odds of multiple cards is needed because the inflating number of cards that are unobtainable is surging to the point where it will take years to even get the last 2 months of spotlight cards released But it will be questionable of second diner to implement this, because of the fact that they ask up to 100 dollars just for variants and other currencies and cache development rewards being single rewards would showcase their lack of understanding acquisition, this gatcha booster pack system would compromise their history of monetised purchases in regard to the player base .. so no i don’t think it’s opportunity for them to implement because it will help the player but will compromise their integrity as per their transaction history for bundles and caches, two steps forward, 3 steps back

“Improved card acquisition” feels like they just threw it in there bc they know people are unhappy with how expensive the game is. They’re not actually working on anything but they put it in “in development” just to tide us over

Afraid that the new "game mode" is just like conquest grinding through levels/tiers. And they will likely monetize the currency. The free card is awesome, the rest of the annoucements are underwhelming. And very sad about the canceled stuff in the works. Snap really needs something fresh. I hope arishem can be a fun new way to play snap in a few weeks.

Feels like a confirmation of the death spiral. The IP will keep it on life support, but this roadmap for a studio with this type of money is disappointing to say the least. Nothing legit released for a year, and nothing truly engaging forecasted. Just a list of stuff they feel they have to do as a mobile card game (events, clans, draft mode). Too bad.

I'm at the point where I only play a few games to get the credits. The game hasn't appealed to me for a while. These announcements don't change anything. Excitement gave way to frustration a long time ago.

why is noone talking about the buy into a premium league with better rewards? so we complained about the ptw in leagues and they looked at it and doubled down??? maybe im missing something...

seems like a good move to me.... people complain about P2W but this is just splitting the leagues up into 2 tracks... you play where the cost/reward system looks good to you. I don't see any problem.

I think people don’t mind about leagues as much bc they announced removing the P2W perks and so having a buy in option for better rewards is fine for the people excited about leagues who want more out of them and those who don’t care can still get something from the free version.

Improved technical performance?!?! That’s what they have on the roadmap after 6 months?!?! They just gave us a patch that “improved performance” and my game has crashed 20+ times and the CL is still wonky…. They killed off the best thing they had going with the card mastery….just a disaster. Disappointed ain’t the word.

Initial reaction, neat...not interested. If they decide to lock new cards behind this, I can see it being the nail i need to close this coffin of a money sink.

The lack of catch mechanic's and atrocious card acquisition model will kill this game. People want to support this game but they want to pay thousands to remain competitive in the meta or chained to the game cycle. Very disappointing roadmap.

What a complete shit show tbh. Here im expecting something like "TFT, but Snap!" And we get Bubs 😂 im in conference with the AI that runs Customer Support about how im going through 4 caches each time i want a card, and we get this smh. I think this game getting hyped up on release was actually bad for it-they got artificially inflated, and when they dont have those numbers next quarter, they have to get them back somewhere, in this case through Whales and gatcha. Still a good free to play, but i feel like if im getting the Pass every month, i should be collection complete, because i WAS right before they started adding more cards a month, nothing is series 5 on release, cache system lottery, etc

Infinite s5 card releases, new mode (months away probably), new dinner things is 🫤 idk feels like they should prioritize draft mode over all this stuff that we should have gotten months ago. Guess new “card acquisition changes” might be a reason to hoard reserves??

I doubt they’ll reward hoarding reserves again after last time I’m pretty sure they said if they rework reserves ever all the old ones will be auto opened or won’t have the new contents
