Thank you fot the nice testing, I like the Parkside tools a lot and use them frequently , but always with the new models they are not always around in the shops or the country were we live and looking in the online shop its difficult the see the model nr because they never put that in big letters on the selling page up front, that are 2 minor things in my eyes , for the rest I LOVE their tools , ps keep up the good work greatings from the Netherlands

Thank you so much for your comment! I have seen the Lidl Netherlands and also the Lidl Belgium online shop and it is really annoying as you say that they don't put the model number somewhere in the listing. It is nice for them I guess to send over whatever they have without thinking too much... Thank you again for your encouraging comment!

Thanks for the reviews. I love how the clutch actually works very well. Definitely important for jobs such as woodworking. I just saw a video where the Milwaukee and Dewalt couldn't clutch that raw power when working on wood. The Dewalt at speed 1 drove the screw into the wood. 😂. Very impressive by Parkside.

Than you for your time! I appreciate you watching and commenting the video! As you said the clutch is actually pretty decent on these. If I could only have one Parkside drill, one of these would be it. Light and powerful I like them a lot!

I don't buy anything cordless as the battery and the charger are separately and the battery wouldn't last long my grinder is nothing like that with stupid buttons as that would not last long to me being a welder fabricator and repair vehicles in my spare time mine is built different basic way stonger and will last longer but i will say you do a great job of showing the difference between them 👍
@BrokeLifeEU
@BrokeLifeEU 29 күн бұрын
Thank you for your comment! Yes, grinders need a lot of power. The best way to go about that type of tool is to get a corded one. In fact for the drill too you have a point. If you use these tools for long periods of time and have a source of 220v power I agree corded is better. I personally don’t ise them for long and use them inside the house as well as outside where I don’t have 220V power so for my DIY needs cordless is easier. Please see that I said easier, not better! Because you have a point in the battery front too, in most cases they cost more than the tool and are the first thing to pack up. I have said it in a couple of comments now but I got a very old Swiss made Bosch hammer drill, corded. I love everything about that thing. About 40 years old and still going strong!

@@BrokeLifeEU I've still got a black and decker big hammer drill from the 80s a old lady gave me 3 years ago (R.i.p) I used to do her gardening was 80 years old and the drill still going strong but the bearings make a noise i have to use cord power tools for wat i do cant be dealing with batterys the cost and makeing sure they are charged
@BrokeLifeEU
@BrokeLifeEU 27 күн бұрын
I love the dependability of the cord. I think the manufacturers know that and I feel they are not investing too much in to corded tools so as to make the cordless ones look better. Hence to sell the tool, batteries and a charger or two. Many more times the profit they make from corded.

Maybe that C4 model has a lower rpm (in both speeds) and more power for that reason?
@BrokeLifeEU
@BrokeLifeEU Ай бұрын
I decided not to test the RPM with no load on the drill, because it didn't show too much. Maybe I should find a way to test the RPM under consistent load for these drills I think that will be much better. Now just to find a way to do it properly 😅

@BrokeLifeEU
@BrokeLifeEU Ай бұрын
C3 or C4... Hard one! For now maybe the C3 simply because I have had it for over a year and I have had no issues with it so it is a known entity. Whereas we are yet to see how the C4 takes to life. Maybe after a couple of weeks or months some problems start to appear and then we will realise why I got the C4 for a cheaper price.

Damnit, I bought the stupid A1 version when it was on sale a few weeks ago. Now they come out with the better version where you don't have to stupidly press the stupid membrane button _twice_ to start the machine. I really like the tool, though (even though I'd love to have the newer version...). For the record, you'll get about 20 minutes of work on half speed out of a 4Ah battery. EDIT : awww man, it seems the newer version has more power too. 😢
@BrokeLifeEU
@BrokeLifeEU Ай бұрын
I know that feeling 😅. You do have to press the membrane button twice on the new one as well. I left that part in the video to show how tricky that membrane is. I can start these grinders without issues 1 out of 3 times. These buttons are so small that starting is an issue. I don't want to even think how you switch them off in an emergency. I stand by the word I used - IDIOTIC - buttons. The safety concept is entirely missing here! Anyway back to the A1 and A2. I felt the same. Very pleased with myself as I had the A1 - as in most cases the first model is the best Parkside could come up with, after that it is about making is cheaper to produce and worse. In this case not so. I was pleasantly surprised. But the A1 is not bad at all if you don't compare, the differences are minute so don't be too sad. It will still get the job done in the end and it does come with a warranty so if you blow it up you can go and get the A2. 😅
@Kuchenwurst
@Kuchenwurst Ай бұрын
@@BrokeLifeEU Thank you for your emotional support. ;D You know what I find most idiotic about the user interface? It's that the big, red, easily accessible button at the bottom isn't even the one you need to press to make the tool go. I mean, who designed this? Bleh.
@BrokeLifeEU
@BrokeLifeEU Ай бұрын
😂 I did not think about that! When I got my first grinder with these membranes I spent about 10 minutes looking at the instructions, trying to figure out how to make it turn. I am somewhat used to it now, but still I find it not as good as a proper switch! Come on Parkside, go back in time! Don't reinvent the wheel...
@pawelw.9172
@pawelw.9172 Ай бұрын
@@BrokeLifeEU in case of emergencvy it is much easier to push the membrane button than try to eg. unclock the sliding swith to poweroff especially when they are full of dust after use and hard to move. The membrane buttons are a great thing on these, the drwabacks are - the button now is not easily replacable and not sure whether the drive signal goes directly as ine the open/close switch to the bldc unit, or whether it is the mcu that receives the signal and then sends it to the bldc. The point is, the previous physicall switch models are easy to repair with standard and cheap bldc electronics from ali. That's only it.
@BrokeLifeEU
@BrokeLifeEU Ай бұрын
@@pawelw.9172 I will agree with this when they make the membrane button five times its current size. Otherwise it is too small to locate in an emergency.

I bought the c4 because thought it wont have huge delay when trigger is pressed as c3. Turns out c4's delay is even worse. Its garbage
@BrokeLifeEU
@BrokeLifeEU Ай бұрын
My initial impression was like that yes, however once I got used to it in my hand I never had an issue with any trigger delay. When I started using them for drilling and screws I had no issues with either. Have you tried a different C4 could it be the one you bought was faulty? That or for the smoothest possible trigger operation you can go for a brushed version. I feel they are a lot smoother regarding trigger input.

@@BrokeLifeEU Ferrex is another story. Parkside has a huge range of tools. In Germany the online availability for Parkside is getting better and better. The brand is growing. Using Schwarzenegger as a maskott.And they improve the toold constantly. Aldi on the other hand just throw Everytime some tools in the shop and doesn't really have an online shop. In Germany Aldi and Lidl are the closest competitors on the discount market. But Aldi doesn't try it honestly to build a tool brand to compete against Parkside.
