Attorney and new mom Allison Darnell originally joined Arbor CrossFit (crossfitarbor.com/) to impress her boyfriend at the time. A marriage and a baby later, Darnell finds herself feeling stronger, more confident, and healthier than ever.
While she still gets nervous competing, Darnell continues to participate in the Open and other competitions because she’s “constantly looking to better (herself).”
“(CrossFit) is less - on the competition floor - about the person next to me,” Darnell says, “and it’s more about ‘What did I do previously, and can I beat my previous best?’”
