Additional question 🙋🏼‍♂️ 1) can you address the optional "Cover Letter?" Advantages, disadvantages, etc? Also, a suggestion which may be slightly outside of the wheelhouse, however, if you could create a "How To" video of how to create a PDF document that you mentioned that would display all of the evidence photos in one document, I would have clicked the link and watched that video. 👍🏽 Thanks again 😊

@@austinisibor9910 I sent my medical right away with the rest of the paperwork, some lawyers advise to wait until interview and bring it in person or wait for a RFE notice and submit it, since it’s only valid for 6 months. I did my exam first week of March and i submitted my application on March 17 (official notice date from USCIS), got approved September 29th. In my case it was a bit over 6 months until decision (no interview) and I wasn’t asked to re-do the medical. I have a friend who filed her paperwork along with the medical, after about 8 months she got a RFE notice and was asked to submit a fresh medical, once they received it she was approved, no interview. I guess it varies from case to case, but I’m pretty sure you have the option to submit additional evidence or forms once your USCIS online profile is set up and linked to the case, if you want to you can go for it, I am not sure if it will effect the timeline though. At 28:33, this part must only be filled out if the beneficiary is currently in the US. If you are filing from abroad you have to leave this page blank, very important information I would add!

For an online wedding, the "place" of the wedding is the jurisdiction which certified and permanently recognized the wedding. If you got married under the laws of the state of UTAH the place of the wedding is Utah. If the officiant was standing in a Brazilian town square and performed the wedding remotely under the authority of the state of Utah, then the place of the wedding is still UTAH . If the Captain of a Canadian Cruise ship performs the wedding via Satellite on open water , the ship is Canadian and the wedding is verified by the country of CANADA, so the place is CANADA. Another way to think about it is to ask the most appropriate question. What courthouse holds the original wedding document? The officiant carries and represents the authority of the PLACE. I am placing this information here since it is a convenient place do so and it seems like there is little knowledge on the subject.

Kseniya, thank you for such a detailed video. This is the most helpful tool I have found for filling out the I-130. Your time is so appreciated! Would you please answer these two questions: 1-Do you answer "YES" to EVER visiting the US if it was just as a tourist? And do you fill out the status part of how the beneficiary entered if this is the case and they are not currently in the US? 2-Do you include children who are older than 21 years of age under the beneficiary's family info?

Hi, Yes you have to answer if you've ever been in the US. However you do not have to provide information like "Class of admission" etc. because you are currently not here. Yes you must include all children

Yes, you can submit the I-130 online and file the I-485 by mail. The I-485 has a section to include your I-130 receipt number from the online filing. This is still considered concurrent filing. The section on the I-485 where you input this receipt number is Part 2 item 3.

Thank you for this information it is very helpful so far but I have a question. At 28:30 you get to the portion where the petition asks what was the beneficiaries class of admission. But in our case my spouse has never been admitted to visit the United States so I would assume that I leave that part blank. Am I right about that? Because with everything else you would give us other options. But this time you never gave us the option of leaving it blank if it doesn't apply. But the petition does say What 'WAS' the beneficiaries class of admission. And in this case I'm not sure that I will be prompted this question because of my previous answers to questions.

Hello my wife and I have a question! We recently got our I-131 PIP (military) approved and were given a I-94, it does not have her "Arrival-departure Record number". The Purpose is "CP", it just has a 10 digit number on the back including the letter A that is starts with, do we just skip this question on 46.b since we didn't get that number??

Thank you so much for doing this guide to the online form. A quick question: if my spouse is Chinese, for instance, do I need to provide her name in every applicable part of the form (about you: Current Spouse, your beneficiary - name, previous names, address, etc.) in Chinese? The form is clear about doing this on paper, but there is no such clarity for the online form. I'm further confused by the fact that her name is romanized on her passport, but her previous name on a birth certificate only appears in Mandarin Chinese. So, should I just list her name in Chinese characters throughout the form? Thank you again!

Hi. I'm a US Citizen married to a Turk. He's never been to the US before; however, we got married on February, 2022 right at the Mex/US border under Texas Law. We lived together for 3 months in Mexico but since his tourist visa to visit Mexico was about to expire he had to go back to Turkey. Now we want to apply for his Green Card, but we're afraid he gets rejected. We have proof of our relationship (pictures, plane tickets, etc) but we don't know if the USCIS will take our relationship as real. Should we wait more to apply or is it OK to do it now? At 9 min mark, for me, when I check box that addresses are the same it skips the option to add my 5 year address history. I videoed this bug and uploaded to KZfaq (private). How can I update or submit this info if I already filed electronically and assumed if they didn’t ask, they didn’t need the info?

Hi, I was the beneficiary of application and I had flew back to my own country several times during the past five years. When I was filling the physical address for past five years, should I fill my American address only or fill every addresses I have been stayed(including American and my country address)? If I need to fill every addresses I have been stay, then it will be: american--China--American---China---American again----China again. It is confusing me.

Hey there, I had a question that I can't seem to find an answer to anywhere & hopefully you can help! My husband & I recently started this process, and when we get to the part to input class of admission and authorized stay expire date, we can't get past it. We're unable to obtain his I-94 online for some reason, even after trying all the tips we've been suggested when requesting the information. We crossed at a land border going into & leaving Canada back in March, & the website shows that much. But it's unable to give us an actual I-94 form or a class of admission anywhere. Any clues as to how to obtain the I-94 from here?

Thank you so much for your videos. I'm hoping you may be able to answer a question, if you've come across this situation before. I am the petitioner and I work on a civilian contract in Iraq. I met my husband here and we were married in Erbil, Iraq. I own a home in Arizona, and I go there 2-3 times a year. I work on an Iraqi air force base and am not permitted to leave the base unless I am going out of country for vacation. My husband works on the base (which is how we met) and he has a home just outside the base. He stays with me on base 3-4 days a week. I'm wondering 2 things: 1. Is my home considered Arizona or Iraq in this situation? 2. If my home is considered Arizona, then obviously I wouldn't state that he lives with me. If, however, it's considered Iraq, would I state that he lives with me on the base? This part is confusing to me.

Does anyone keep going in circles when clicking the "file online" link? Everytime I am in the "I-130, Petition for Alien Relative" page, I click on the blue "file online" button that is the link. It always keeps sending me to "Submit a FOIA or PA Request" page.

Is there a benefit from having a lawyer file this application for you? Like will it be approved faster or more likely to get approved or anything like that? I hear so many conflicting opinions

Hello! Thank you for the amazing video. I just have one question. For my spouse beneficiary she has only been to visit the US with an ESTA, she has been multiple times. I was able to get her I-94 number and I put her date of arrival being the date of her arrival on her most recent trip to the US, but for her expiration date I am unsure what to put. Technically the expiration date of her ESTA would be outside of the 90 day range legally permitting her to visit, so I was thinking of putting the date she actually left as recorded on the I-94 as to not make it look like she overstayed. She also now has a new passport with a different # with her last named changed to mine attached to it, would this only go under evidence of name change and not her passport number since she has not yet traveled with it yet and the I-94 is registered to the previous passport. This was super helpful - thank you so much! At 23:20 - One question, what if the beneficiary doesn't have an address in the US that they intend to live at? Meaning, they're outside of the US currently and they don't know what address they'll live in once they move to the US.

@Kseniya International - again I have gone through your video and would like to ask few clarifications please. The I130 for Parent looks slightly different. Q1: Petitioner is a Widow - should they leave the "current spouse" section blank and fill-in "prior spouse "section? when did your last marraige end is date of death (spouse) Q2: Petitioner has no changes to her name in all US documents Passport etc . Her maiden name is different only in her Birth Certificate - outside of the USA. Hence this should be mentioned as Legal Name change?

Question, my wife has been to the US before but not under any really specific visas. it was just a visit 3 times for leisure travel. would we say yes to her EVER visiting? if so, do we fill out the info for the visa and doc numbers if we can even find any? Or just say no because it wasn't under anything with that kind of information? Any help is appreciated.
