We took the feedback of our top athletes and whitewater professionals around the world and used it to create the NRS Ninja Pro PFD: A compact Type V rescue vest that delivers superior mobility and comfort and dialed-in rescue essentials to better serve whitewater paddlers, guides and SAR professionals.
The Orbit Fit System layers multiple pieces of lightweight closed-cell foam cut to precise specifications to create a unique, flexible, pre-curved shape that effortlessly conforms to your body.
Graded Sizing takes into account the appropriate amount of flotation needed for individual body types resulting in a better-fitting, more comfortable life jacket for all.
Fully-featured rescue vest includes a strategically placed 1.5” quick-release rescue belt with an aluminum attachment ring.
Continuous, interconnected webbing creates an internal harness for maximum security in live bait scenarios and when grabbing users by shoulder straps.
Compartmentalized, zippered, drop-down, clamshell pocket stows and organizes essential on-person gear.
Features five attachment points for knife, lights, or strobe and extensive 3M® reflective accents to increase visibility in low-light conditions.
Hand warmer pocket features 4-way stretch double knit polyester lining that's soft against the skin; pocket doubles as quick storage for webbing or gloves.

Does the padding under the buckles keep the plastic from digging into when you're carrying a boat, Alex? That was a frustration I had with the Zen.

@brentwade9346 I've never had that issue with the Zen or the new Ninja. The buckles are now tucked more out of the way so that shouldn't be an issue

Really tiered of t grips slipping into the front straps of my green vest and getting stuck, feels like a massive safety issue

@@AlexBarham it happend to me twice last season. Once when surfing with a paddle stowed in the middle of the raft, and another time on the bus to the put in. I'm pretty skinny so it might just sit kind of odd on me, but there is always a inch gap between the tightened front strap and my body

Thanks for the review. I was trying to decide and now I know I definitely want this year's model instead of last year's. Quick question: what are the benefits of the Pro model vs. the regular?

The newest version is worth it!! The Pro will be equipped as a rescue vest with a quick release

What is the actual difference between the Ninja Pro and the Vector? And will there be more colours avaliable soon?

They are entirely different vests. The Vector is larger (more floatation) and the positioning is lower on your torso with protection for your ribs and kidneys.

Is the front pocket lower profile? That’s one thing I didn’t like about the old version.

It is both lower profile, and larger. Best of both worlds!

Hey Mike! Yup the Ninja Pro will have all the tools you need without the bulk. The Vector will have all the added features and capabilities you need for a full-on rescue vest in a smaller profile as well. We will be around if you want to check ours out!

Do you think the "lightness and quick drying facet" sacrifice durability?

Based on the fact that there is no wear on Hannah's after what would be a season of use by most people's standards (in extremely sandy conditions) I would say durability should be fine.

Indeed. I was impressed when you mentioned that they went through the pains of certifying the different sizes! I have no doubt that was challenging
