Ohio University Marching 110 playing at Potters Field London as part of this years London Band Week
You can see more of the band at The Excel on Saturday 29th June, I believe there are still tickets available, and at Hampton Court on Sunday 30th June.

Hi! I’m in the trumpet section and I’m putting together a lil montage video from the week I just wanted to ask if it was alright if I used a few seconds of this footage and of the tattoo one as well in a little edit I’m working on. I didn’t film this footage myself so I just wanted to ask first and I’ll give credit to you for filming it as well wherever I post the videos.

This is excellent, and I hope that they draw larger crowds and receive the response from the audience that they deserve in future performances. I also think they could improve with a proper stand for the conductors as a step ladder is an insult and quite dangerous 😳. I am hoping that this is a rehearsal and not an advertised paid performance because there appears to be a rather small audience judging by the response I am hearing. Thanks for sharing this great performance with us.

Its only the second london band week so hopefully its popularity will grow. There was only 3 performances last year by the tennesseans i believe. This one, hampton court, along with other various young uk marching bands and then the main indoor event along with the royal marine band. Which looked sold out. All of our marching band field performances at football games are conducted on these purpose made ladders or drum major podiums. They aren’t unsafe.

@@sactoindyfan I would like to believe that, however, if that were the case, there would be no reason for 2 or more people to be holding the ladder while someone is standing on top of it.

@@aussiejohn5835 they always do that. It’s not that bad. Trust me as someone who has been in American marching bands since 1992…and I have a minor in music education, it’s fine.

@sactoindyfan Thank you for that information, and I will accept your expertise in the matter, but it just looks quite strange to me because I have only ever seen an elevated podium, which hasn't been a ladder.
