Best...dance...song....EVER. Guaranteed to get me moving on the dance floor every time. The warm live bass sound balanced out the colder synth sound perfectly.

This is what you got with New Order,, You never knew what sort of day they would have, This is why there isn't anybody else like them, In Japan they would have wanted perfection, In England we would have been pissed , so it would have sounded perfect to us...

This performance is mesmerizing. I think, the tech-savvy Japanese will have liked that.

Not bad for a 1985 performance ... they rarely did Blue Monday live until later in the 90s ... Been to 3 shows in Toronto (1985, 86, 89) and they never played it.

Theirs was pretty good, and I give them props for paying tribute to one of the greatest most influential bands ever, but it doesn't even hold a candle to this. It's a WHOLE different league. Orgy's version is good for what it is: A cover by an industrial rock band. This is NEW ORDER. You could have been more polite, by the way.

The cowbell kind of morphs into Patrick Cowley's 'She Has a Way', or is just my imagination?

He is. MIDI is being sent to the drums to provide the snare. At the same time, Peter is hitting the sensors. This is why you can hear the snare even when he is not hitting the pad. The pad is crap tho. Seems to be ducked taped and shit.
