NEW Pig Farrowing Setup in Our HOOP HOUSE

In this video, I work on getting one of our sows who is set to farrow soon isolated in our hoop house. This will be the first time using this setup for farrowing. I also included a heated creep area for the piglets to utilize when cold.

Hi, Troy, as a former pig farmer, I always enjoy your videos about your pigs. Might I suggest that you put a board on the outside corner of the area you have the heat lamp in? I notice there's quite a gap where a breeze could blow through on your new piglets. Have a great day!

Thanks for the shout out! I had forgotten that you owed me one!.....lol Thanks for the advice on piglets! I've been thinking about raising a couple pigs but the costs of raising them versus purchasing one at auction ready to put in the freezer has me reluctant to do so! 🤠🇺🇸

Nice heat lamp build. Do you find a difference in heat between the red vs clear? I Have found the chickens prefer the red heat and the piglets seem to not care either way.
