Күн бұрынTook off an old Briggs n Stratton and putting on a brand new Harbor Freight Predator 212 CC engine.

Great video thanks for sharing. The extra spring is a good idea. Throttle go stuck on me long time ago when i was a kid and i didn't know what to do. So i drove laps around the yard at top speed like a mad man.

To understand horizontal shaft engines you just have to turn your head 90 degrees, haha!

I got the exact same go kart I put bigger tires in the back 15x6.00 upgrade the axel to a live axle did a stage one build on a 212 predator and changed the gearing. It’s really fun on dirt trails I keep up with my friends that have 450cc dirt bikes haha

Would you be able to show how the throttle cable connects to the throttle rod? I just got a go cart just like this for my boys with no motor, trying to figure out how to attach throttle cable. Thanks!

could you share where you got the seat for the kart from? i made a kart similar in size, jut need to hook up throttle and brakes but it needs a wide seat like your

It just came with the cart. I've made a couple before with plywood, foam, and some black vinyl.

How did you measure the throttle cable to make sure it was long enough

Just estimated it. The sheathing can be longer since it's clamped down on each end. Then once the ends are clamped the cable can be cut to length.

Since these predators already have an on off switch you can tie into those existing wires.

It's a fine thread 5/16” - 24

Nope, it is just creating a short circuit when open so it doesn't matter.

It's just a generic clutch the you can find on amazon. If you are looking for a new one make sure the bore size matches your engine shaft and the sprocket matches your chain size. amzn.to/3yIE8kd
