For anyone here in the comments interested. M16A2 battle sight zero: at 25 meters using a standard US Army A8 MOA bullseye target, elevation values are 1.25 MOA/click. Windage values are .5 MOA/click. At 25 meters, the 20” barrel M16 series needs to group 1.5 MOA low of center to account for trajectory at 300 meters, otherwise your group will end up at mid neck level on a human torso with a sternum (center of mass) hold EDIT: DO NOT use the Z setting to zero. Leave it at the 300/800 meter setting. The Z setting does nothing.

There is no z setting on the a2. On the a2 you "back it down 2" which gives you a mechanical offset for 36m at a 25m distance. The A4 has the z setting which is backed down 2 with just a z for the asvab wavers. You have a 6-8in poa/poi spread doing a 36/300 zero out to 300m vs a 12in spread doing a 25m non mechanical poa/poi zero. Your bdc also is off between 300-600/800m using a 25m poa/poi zero.

USMC we BZO at 36 yards, adjust rear 3 clicks up to 8/3 for a 300 yard. The rear sight was adjusted to 8/3-3.

No the AccARizer is carbine only. Stick to a ARMS/Leupold Carry handle mount and a Midwest Industries Tactical Light mount for the FSP. It’ll look better and perform better than the Larue

It’s not a ghost ring or night sight. It’s a 0-2 or 0-200m sight aperture. It’s meant to be used when firing from 0-200 meters to account for a 300m zero with the small aperture.

You can get new Colt A4 uppers for $499 without BCG/CH, $700 with. So these actually cost more. And these are likely made by PSA.

AR-15 prices haven't really changed in the last 25 years. Inflation adjusted, they are much cheaper than they were 25 years ago. AKs on the other hand have gone through the roof.

Windage, and elevation are adjusted by hand using the elevation drum, and windage knob. As for trying to do a modified battle zero I believe you need a small allen key or torque screw set.

No such thing as a 25 zero for the m16. It's a 36/300 zero using a mechanical offset.

It would have been cooler if it were a modified none reciprocating, top charging, carry handle with a bufferless bcg!! But still cool if it were just the standard top charging version!

Would have been better if you made the rear sight/carrying handle removable like on the M16A4, but it is period correct to have it fixed I believe.

Dude, like everywhere you see the A3 type upper with the detachable carry handle. Colt, Bushmaster, FN, Palmeto, ect. That style is the usual go-to for people who are trying to make retro ARs because the actual A2 upper is out of stock.
