People don't get it, I know his offense is down the past two years, but that's not what made Klay a vital piece to the championship. Even if Klay recovers and becomes the offensive player we know, his lack of defense is not the same. It's borderline bad defense. If the Warriors can figure out whats wrong with Wiggins and why he is mentally checked out and fix that, then they are still a title contender.

Its simple. The current roster will rank the Warriors No. 12 in the West. San Antonio and Houston are getting better. OKC just signed Caruso. Draymond is great at defense (but too small, and small ball is DEAD), With Draymond there, you have 4 vs 5 on offense. Where is your rim protection?

Keep Klay. Klay still has more left in the tank than you think. the Warriors caused a lot of this themselves. By not going after any tall and long players and staying small, that limits your ability to stretch the floor. This affects a shooter like Klay who needs spacing. I know that Klay's shooting was off this year but spacing will fix that. I don't think that Klay will have two sub par seasons. They need to explore dealing Draymond and let Chris Paul go in order to bring a facilitator and a big. That way you loose the Drama that Draymond green has been bringing that has helped to destroy this team over the last 2 years.

Of course, I would love to see Klay retires as a Warriors. However, I do think his own self-evaluation is a bit too high, and the Warriors' front office should also raise a little bit more. Just hope they can meet all criteria at the midway. A contract with bonuses if Klay can fulfill all the setup criterias like games played, scoring efficiency, etc. is pretty desirable, I think.

Warriors' have never had a center that does a lot of scoring. They have the scorers. They need a Gafford or Livley type center a rim runner and defender. If they can't get one out of the draft: then, they need to look at free agency. But Markkanen would cost much.

warriors need to keep klay even if he is not the same person as before, at the right price. his value is around 15 per year for 2 years. i see him 10 per year if any team would add a 3rd year. seems gsw is already offering him more than the market. not the same 2 way players that he used to be and his shooting is mainly due to the warrior system. will he really get the same looks in other teams? only gsw view him being worth as he is family. if gs trading for markkanen, wiggins needs to be in the deal + moody/looney/cp and draft. bp was a steal in the draft and jk too valuable even if his 3 is not the best.

We have the chance to become the first team NBA history to have three (3) Hall of Famers to retire together.. THAT is the caveat to this all in the end, for this dynastic trio of the Bay Area! I believe Klay still has a place with the Dubs, and will still be effective if for nothing else than getting those spot-up 3's. Pay the man, he's part of the foundation that got those four (4) rings. This a BUSINESS DECISION, not an emotional one. Old, yes I said OLD, athletes don't get better, just older. The Warriors current and future rest upon decisions made now. People say the Warriors owe Klay because of his success and contributions to the team. He has been VERY WELL PAID. Warriors gave Klay max contract when he was out with serious injuries. He miss 2 years. I give Klay max kudos for coming back and enduring everything to do so. And we all know he went through a lot. And he's still going through it to this day. But the reality is the coaching staff asked Klay to accept a non-starting position. Despite a blow to him personally Klay responded like the class act he is. Lets not forget the MASSIVE SACRIFICE ownersip has made, not a trival thing. ( And I Thank them again for their faith in the players.) Offensively I have to believe most or all the teams would love to call upon Klay for his shooting. Maybe not so much for his driving in the paint. But defensively... We are all about to find out.

So Warriors reward JK by trading him after he became the second consistent scorer in his team? Warriors need to add a true center and another scorer who will help Curry and JK in offense. JK is now busy training basketball and doing some fashion show while here are people who keep on bringing out his name time after time. Warriors fb page posted recently that JK is going in his fourth year as a Warrior so that means he is out of the table for trade talks.

Nah that Markennen trade window is long gone. I know it's been discussed a while back, when the jazz still had Kelly olynyk on their roster... Where GSW could have done like a Kuminga+pool/moody/Wiggins(some variation of that) trade for both mark and olynyk, back after the Dre Punch incident. Alot of warriors fans hated that idea, after that 23 season, but it made the most sense 😂 That boat has sailed. Bigs are going to be way overpriced this off season, due to what we saw in the playoffs. Only shot warriors have is for Kuminga to basically become Anthony Edwards over the off-season, and get really lucky and pickup an unknown big or 2 that the league is sleeping on.

Look we cannot trade that much for Lauri we puttin to much faith in him and not enough faith in our guys to get that big leap we do need to somehow trade for some role players and a big with looney n wiggs but I think the main thing right now to do is free up as much money as we can and sign some elite role players and be able to sign an actual big so we have size and surround curry jk n draymond with elite role players

I don’t get the big deal with lauri markannen. He’s 27 and his 8th year but doesn’t have a second of playoff experience . He only has gotten numbers on terrible teams and on top of that he’s a very brittle player. He’s a lock to miss 25-30 games a year. Only way I’m trading a package like that if it is for a 2 way player in their prime and with some playoff experience
