NEW Shiranui + Beatrice combo to beat Tachyon - 10 WINS in a Row! Competitive [Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links]

Tachyon has taken the meta by storm, showing multiple performances in tournaments that show it to be a tier 0/0.5 deck. One way that Shiranui can beat it is by summoning Beatrice to send Mischief of the Gnomes - pairing that with another interruption for Spiral/Seyfert will put you in a winning position!

The starting narration makes it sound a bit like Dragon Ruler/Spellbook format lol. Where one deck would be Tier 0 if it weren't for another deck that is also insanely strong and both combined completely destroy the rest of the meta.

Hahahaha i confused when i heard first time about Beatrice and was looking about making Beatrice in Shiranui🤣🤣🤣🤣i cant believe that you had to upload the video mate only some hours after l found out about the combo and proper build🤣🤣🤣🤦🏾(P.S. i ended up on a build close to yours✌🏾)

@LukeTylerYGO haha I was playing Shiranui for a long time (got top 100 in KC Cup when it was Meta) and started again. Trying to remember all the lines+ new lines + the most efficient line for Beatrice and remember them all was kinda painful not gonna lie 🤣🤣But feels good that i got a 2nd opinion from a good player like you through the video😄

My first top 100 KC Cup was also with Shiranui 🙏 I’ve always enjoyed playing the deck competitively, but never got around to playing the combo versions much and am glad that I now get to again

Are compulsory and needle ceiling mandatory? I'd rather play crackdown and other two disruptions since I don't have needle

Best turn 1 for me is to end with ge cipher dragon lv9 with lv8 as a material or in the gy and set your techs including transmigration. Ending with tachyon is a very weak field imo

I agree, this is what I would end on as well - it also makes your end board better vs certain decks playing Xyz Encore because you still get the cipher back

I'm unclear on the Mezuki line. Since Squire locks you into only making zombies, can you still make Beatrice? Alternatively, can you also use something like Gozuki, send Solitaire, sync Doomkaiser from grave, Solitaire revive spectralsword, synch Samuraisaga from field, and then Beatrice? I LOVE this concept, and I will be trying it. Thank you.

You can’t make Beatrice if you use the effects of Squire, Shade or GMG as these are the 3 cards that lock us into Zombies The Mezuki line uses the effect of Mezuki early to revive Solitiare to help make 2 level 6s for Beatrice. You could use Gozuki too yep if you want more cards to make Beatrice Glad you like it!

I know you didn't ask me, but I find Samurai Skull better than Gozuki to be honest, Gozuki can get removed from the field before thriggering it's effect, Samurai Skull thriggers from the get go and if your opponent attempts to remove it Samurai Skull floats into something else.

I feel like the deck struggles going 2nd against Tachyon if they hold interruption for your payoffs, right? Like if they hold Felgrand/Transmigration for Squiresaga/Shogunsaga? Then they (usually) get to keep their Tachyon which can force backrow on their follow up before commiting to other rank 8's. At least that's my experience

I agree, but I also think that if they hold the disruption too long then the Shiranui player can capitalise on that - for example if the Tachyon player holds IDP for too long then Samurai can be used to counter it, or if they hold Transmigration for too long then the Shiranui player could not overcommit into it

Apparently it was worded incorrectly. If you summon a monster with levels, you are limited to Fire or Zombie. There's no limitations to monsters that don't have levels.

If you summon a monster that has a level it has be Fire Zombie - not fire or zombie, but both a fire and zombie Beatrice doesn’t have a level (since it’s an Xyz Monster) so you can summon her

I haven't even finished building Tachyon yet and everybody already hate it. Its gonna be when I build Galaxy, tried playing it for a week and then quit coz how much it sucked to play. Like half of the time I don't even get to summon anything. 😅

you cant summon beatrice using shiras the skill says you can only special zombie monsters or monsters with levels

You can - Beatrice doesn’t have a level because it’s an xyz monster The skill says you can only special summon fire zombie monsters or monsters without levels

If you put a specific tech card into your deck to counter one deck, then that one deck is surely Tier 0.

I think you can deck build around the best deck without the best deck being tier 0 The deck is certainly more dominant than that of what would normally be defined as tier 1, but I also don’t think the gap between Tachyon and the next best deck(s) is wide enough for it to be objectively tier 0

Hmm I think you’re better off just playing 3 less cards in the deck (to see solitaire more) rather than try and replace the mezuki

The 1-card combos with Solitaire and Mezuki are explained at 1:55 There are other ways to do it too, but you cannot use Squire, Shade or GMG because these all zombie lock you

Bro shiranui have 2 plays tuner on graveyard+ any starter on board, just 2 negates and tachyon just put 2 negates on field consistenly... im disapointed with u i tested a lot the decks and in my experience im sure to say tachyon is so far from shiranui..

Haha that’s fair, I think tachyon is of course above Shiranui - but I don’t think it’s far, Shiranui has more than 2 plays with stuff like ghost meets girl and even without it you can force all the interruption and set backrow I agree that Tachyon is better though

I don't understand why you would be disappointed in luke when he's just showing an option to play shiranui. He's not responsible for the powerlevel of the decks and did his best to showcase alternatives to play the game aside from tachyon.
