New Shortcut in Excel - CONTROL + SHIFT + V

Excel introduced a NEW Excel Shortcut - Control + Shift + V to paste as values in Excel.
In this short video, I show how to use this Excel shortcut and some scenarios where it could be helpful (such as converting formulas to values).

Great video Sumit👍.. I came to know about this shortcut accidentally as I use this in Google Sheets a lot. I want to ask is there any Keyboard Shortcut for using Format Painter in Excel?

You can use ALT + H + F + P to copy and activate format painter. But then you will have to use the mouse /trackpad to make the selection. So not a very helpful shortcut unfortunately

Google sheet also has the same shortcut key to paste as value.

Yes, they have had it for years. They also have another one that Excel hasn't copied (yet), which is to paste formats only (Control + ALT + V). In Excel, this open the Paste Speical dialog box.

@Summit Brother Can you please guide on how to retain date and time formats same as when doing paste as values, date and time value convert into numbers instead of actual date or time. I want to keep the date and time value intact while using paste as values. Is there any way to do this.

You can retain date format when you paste the format as well. So when you have pasted the data, right click again and choose Formatting option under Paste Options. You can also use the shortcut ALT + E + S + T + Enter
