A new song for the lost children of our First Nations here in Canada and the world.
For those who don't know what happened, here is a link to a couple news stories. Spread the word. Don't let this tragedy go unnoticed any longer.

I lived in the hypocrisy of the church for years. When I left, I found myself in a few cuts, one after another. Even lived in India looking for the truth. I was an alcoholic, codependent, drug addict and food addict by the end of my run at 38 years old. After my pride came crashing to an end in 2015, this God I didn't know or care about saved me, sobered me up through the help of a few people, and restored my life to a level I had never lived before. I realized the Christians I was angry at were people, just like in many of the cults I was in, who were broken, unrecovered, hurting, lost, and like me, needed recovery and and the Almighty Grace from above. I've found in the last 6 years of sobriety that it's never Jesus we're mad at. Maybe we're mad at God, but we find out it's misdirected. But it's always some person or Sunday school teacher or angry preacher or locker-room incident with the coach or father sexually abusing a child or mother who always invalidated us that we're angry at. I can say today that Jesus saves, He loves, and He would never condone murder. God rest their souls. Jesus would have loved, pure and simple.

thanks JP.....as a spouse and caregiver to a survivor of the residential schools I've been keepin' my powder dry....so you've spoken to my heart and I would be remiss if I did not take this opportunity to recognize one of us who paid the price for speaking out and finding out about the most horrible stories of the sufferings of my late wife's people.....from coast to coast to coast. and that 'one of us' is Mr Kevin Annet.

Very nice and touching. A real Christian is always ready to die for his God but never to kill in His name. Those who killed others in the name of some "church " or God are wolfs in sheep skin.

Unbelievable, how 'They' preach it and all they do is to deceive and take what they want, someones body and soul, for their own demented self-righteousness. It's astonishing to me, to this day, why the 'Church' can say, and do the total opposite. I hope to God they get to the bottom of this and release every lost beautiful soul, for some sort of closure to the families. There better not be any rest until 'every' individual is found out who committed these atrocities and be publicly identify to these sick individuals. Every time I read a clip or hear a news broadcast about this, what these little children must have went through, it makes me defeated with the human race...So, so tragic...

@@leafforever9174 Matthew 24:5" For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many." Our lord Jesus Christ founded only one Church and sealed it with His Blood. @@patriciabourque I agree, but I think this song is for those that profess to be Christian, and perhaps should reflect on whether their actions are in sync with what Jesus tried to convey...kindness, compassion, giving advantage rather than taking, respect for others, etc., etc. I don't identify as a Christian, but I'm not anti-Christian either. I'm free to take what helpful messages I can from whatever religion I choose. That way I can avoid moving in lock-step with whatever misconceived notion grasps the collective consciousness of a religion or a government mandate, which in this case was selfishness or expedience disguised as the "greater good". Be yourself, follow your own heart...this is the freedom that should have been given in the first place. Much love and respect.

Thought provoking and a heartfelt statement J.P.... Horrible things have been done to many people in the name of religion, beliefs, groups and governments throughout history... We can only hope that some day, we all realize that no matter how right you think the intentions are, dignity and freedom are and should always be first.. I'm no guru, or influencer, or overly religious practioner, but I do believe that we all answer for our actions in the end...

The problem occurs when religion takes the lead over spiritual faith. Religion is man made across the board. Being spiritual is not the same as being religious. If your a true Christian you walk by faith and not to the tune of the Pope, Preacher, or a particular church. Your beliefs might be rigid but only enforceable by a higher power at a later date. Not bigotry at this point. Religion is bigotry. Hope you read that part in Mathew and Mark. Religion is what you get after humans take faith in something and corrupt it. Today’s comparison might be a more “scientific “ or tolerant humanitarian believe that has evolved into “Wokeness” which is developing into a religious cult. Those children were destroyed by religion. Not by Christianity.

I’m 11 days older than you haha but you are light years ahead of me with your guitar skills lol. I’m just a couch and camp fire player. I live on the Tennessee river about halfway between Nashville and Memphis so we have a lot of camp fires round here😉 However I did get my first guitar for my 5th birthday because that’s all I wanted but parents divorced that year everything went to shit and I didn’t pursue guitar again till my 30s.
