This is actually an airsoft green gas pistol made by we tech converted to 4.5mm so using co2 will wreak havoc on the pot metal internals as they are not made to handle co2. You are able to use the original 6mm green gas magazines in this air pistol by modifying them to take 4.5mm bbs. This will make the gun last longer.

The fibre optic sight on mine broke after only one time use, seems like a cheap pot metal. Also it shoots 2” low. Other than these two main issues, I love the rest of this air pistol.

I had the same first gen to in .40 cal loved the pistol

I got one right when released. The cocking indicator jammed the slide shut. I had to remove the rear sight and indicator to get side off and to prevent from reoccurring. Unfortunately the damage was done and the trigger bar broke. I wish it was made from a more solid metal. I cannot find spare parts for this gun so it's a nice decoration right now. Besides the magazine issues I absolutely loved the gun. Your reviews are some of the best I've seen. Cheers!

I used to have the exact same .45. I loved it and wish I still had it. I'm fond of the 1911 and always will be. Yes I'm showing my age lol.

Second time I changed the co2 I threaded the magazine. It's an awesome gun but definitely be careful when changing cannisters

Brilliant review as always. Just ordered my XDM. It's too beautiful a girl to ignore.

I do own one with 4" barrel. I agree, accuracy could be better, however all the "negatives" which has been mentioned don't really bothers me, my problem is the quality of the parts used in this pistol. After 4 weeks a small bit of trigger mechanism broke off blocking the trigger completely. Got the gun replaced and after another 7 weeks a bit fell off from float barrel. Gun still worked, but I have stopped using it. Oh, forgot to mention that field disassembly lever "handle" broke off as well, leaving me using pliers to turn it when comes to cleaning/greasing. Looks like the most of the moving parts inside this gun are made of cast iron which is hard but too brittle. Don't get me wrong, XDM is quite nice gun. Feels good in the hand, looks great but just not sturdy enough. Bought Gletcher Colt 1911 Operation Overlord and didn't use XDM since.

For unknown reasons this "beast" bb gun as an incredible précise accuracy right out of the box wich is a premier for me who own 9 blowback air pistols an never seen such a good grouping from a blowback pistols and i even was'nt in a stable position when i did the shooting ....im very impress by air-ventury and springfield for this one.

I put silicone oil on the magazine screws it helps.

I just got my compact black and silver today. Nice. It has metal follower in mag. I attached a red dot laser and seems to shoot ok.

This gun is one of my absolute favorite to shoot. I have 4 of them. One of each. The plastic tab on the magazine is a bad idea besides that a total enjoy to.shoot up until the trigger bar breaks ( made of cheap pot metal). I've had 4 break on me. 2 in the last few days. I don't know what to do. Have you heard of any related problems? I am used to these guns so definitely not mishandled

my visor was bad and I had to put it 1,04 mm higher. now it's working. that's why you don't hit the small target. this 1,04mm is 10cm difference on 5 meters

My front fiber optic fell out the front ramp the magazine sprays the entire co2 canister as soon as I pierce it and even when it was functioning….. which wasn’t long you can’t take a sight picture on your target with a pistol that prints 20 inches low at 10 feet… I thought they were falling out of the barrel but no just hitting over a foot low. I put cardboard down in front of the target I was just disappointed which is a shame because it’s realistic with the same functionality as the original and I also like the grip better than the Glock at the end of the day it doesn’t matter how cool it WAS it IS in the box because I don’t want to get another magazine for $50 just to have it last 3 days either

Why oh WHY do some manufacturers make it so difficult to load the BB mags ? Is it that difficult or cost (in)effective to make the follower tab just a big bigger ? Is it that difficult to cut a small spring follower "hold back" notch in the slide ? Some of these mags are just plain ridiculous to load. I recently had delivered a S&W MP40. I absolutely loved this air pistol. The realism/weignt/blowback/trigger pull/ finish was spot on. With the large (interchangeable) grip, this was by far the best fitting gun in my collection. BUT !!.....For the life of me, loading that tiny ultra tensioned hold back follower while trying to insert BBs just outright sucked all the enjoyment out of that great replica !! Being in the commercial electrical construction business for 35 years, I've got fairly strong fingers/hands, and loading was a struggle for me. I ended up returning tne gun. What about youths/lady shooters.....or elderly with perhaps a touch of arthritis to do ?? C'mon manufacturers, you guys design such marvelous air pistols with so many great innovations, but can't come up with a more "user friendly" way of loading a simple BB into mag ?......ugh. Hello, thx for the video! Ever since I had my first airsoft H&K G36CV, which has a carbon polymer body, too, I like this high quality plastic even more than cheap metal. Question 1: you say it shoots at around 320 fps. Which BB-weight did you use? I'd like to calculate the joules. Question 2: How loud is the bang when you shoot, let's say compared to other CO2s and compared to a real gun? Question 3: how reliable is the BB feeding from the mag? Thx for the help!

That XDM reminded me of the Umarex Glock 17 gen4 BB pistol. It had that snug n snappy slide action with it's same sound [A good thing). The trigger action without BBs seemed to be the same [Nice!]. But - (unfortunately) that same shooting way too low under aimpoint [just unacceptable].. Bummer..

Thanks for this. Too bad about the accuracy. Accuracy may vary between individual units. QC Issues. A beautiful replica. Someone should make an upgrade barrel for this with an adjustable hop up or a calibrated one. I have no brand loyalty, I just want a reliable air pistol that shoots reasonably accurately. I may be better off with a pellet repeater like a SIG replica.

Bought one. Most of the pistol is very well built. The loading slot in the slide is a very very poor design. The first time I looked at it I thought to myself, “That won’t last long if I’m not careful.” Very poor catch design. It broke the first time I loaded it. I have many air pistols. Just that one design flaw put the pistol near the bottom of my favorite list.

If it sucks over 50 wait until over 70, buying guns is the only thing that gives me a stiffy

Looks like a converted airsoft gun to me. I would love to see the internals of airsoft/air guns in reviews to see if proper steel is used or monkey metal that only lasts a margin of the time. FYI mafioso airsoft guns are the dogs b*****x
