Well... affordable 3D-printing is coming, it is (almost) there. You can already download a toy car. Let's see if in 100 years the answer would be "why wouldn't you?" :-D (I do realize that creating a functional car requires more than just a ABS/PLA 3D-printer. But then, that's what all those nifty sci-fi robots are for. Could those be affordable? We shall see. To unbelievers: radio is about 100 years old, internet is about 25)
