Pam, I live in Harpers Ferry, West Virginia. It's a very small historic town. Very much Andy Mayberry. We have a wonderful children's park that had the most gorgeous canopy of trees that the children played under. Our town council had these beautiful ancient trees cut down a couple of winters ago. It hurt my heart so much and I was so angry. Then I realized that we all share the blame as we just assumed that our elected officials were looking out for the best interests of the citizens and children. They weren't and shame on us for assuming they were. So I started attending town council meetings and found there was even more not to like about them. So I ran for Town Council and won a seat last year! I've never been involved in politics in my life but this is the time and place to get involved to try to make a difference on the local level. I gave up on higher level politics more than 20 years ago.

Greetings. I will turn 78 on February 8th: my knowledge of astrology is not very deep but my interest in it is. May I humbly make a comment, hopefully to elucidate your point about how we as a collective create the very atrocities we find unacceptable: it is what we refuse to see and accept about ourselves that HAS to manifest in physical reality. This is true individually as well as collectively. Polarisation and other attitudes of division are only less directly violent manifestations of what we refuse to accept. War is just a bigger and more brutal form of unconscious potential gone awry. Our work now! I took part in a Shamanic training course which was guided by channeled teachings of an Indigenous Shaman that were recorded in the 1980's. This Shaman lived in what is now known as North America, about 550 years ago. One of his most powerful teachings was about Duality. Re Pluto, Persephone, Ceres: there is a matriarchal / pre-patriarchal myth where as a girl, Persephone is taught by her grandmother how to bless & guide those who've died & lost there way to nirvana (or their next stop in the UniVerse). When she came of age, Persephone went with her grandmother to be of service to these lost ones, and also to those in the underworld. She left the surface world in October (Scorpio, Hallowmas) to go to the underworld for 6 months. Ceres mourned her daughter's absence; her feelings of loss were so deep and profound that it caused the 1st Winter, making tree & plant life appear as if they were dead. However, each Spring Equinox, Persephone returned to surface earth, reUniting with Ceres & her sister Kore. It was Kore who spotted her sister running down the hill on her way home, and Kore cried out to Ceres, "Persephone's returns!" Not the least bit angry with you Pam - you are so right. Blaming "the other" is so far from where we need to go, that we need to face this tendency in ourselves (aided by the marvellous Pluto) and really work on removing it and replacing it with Love and Compassion. The hardest thing we will ever do - send love to those who are perpetrating these atrocities. I could not face going home to Canada to see my dying father in 2021 and I have been so angry at the prime minister there and the whole awfulness of what they did to everyone there. But left with huge guilt for abandoning my father to their mercies. Still working on both those things. My intention (as Aquarius is my ascendant and very close to the New Moon in Aquarius in February) is to be clear and strong going forward and use that emotion to make things better, with more PHA Hubs and help for the young people. Like your friend with Capricorn - working with older people, I have been drawn to working with young people for all of my career... And I very much have felt like a person "on the periphery" as you say. But energy healing is becoming more and more understood by people who didn't get it before. I'm very hopeful. I can feel renewed drive and determination coming in, along with the Wood Dragon. Let's do this! 💞
