Off road tires are expensive. In most parts of the world they will be repaired as many times as possible. What disturbs me is when they perform major repairs like this on truck and bus tires.

The extreme forces these tires have to endure are enormous, hand rebuilding tires like this wouldn't give me confidence when carrying 80 tonnes at 60mph!

В 90-е ремонтировали у нас шины Кировца, как то от Беларуса, но долго не проходили. Не было тогда этой сырой резины в достаточном количестве. В последнее время после резкого взлёта, вроде приемлемым стали цены

Yes the nylon rope he sowed into the tire is exactly the same as the manufacturer…it was a good job. This is not a new process.

These people live short hard lives (average life expectancy is currently about 65). They are ingenious and hard working, but there is a tremendous human cost to that industry. Basic safety is neither expensive or impossible here, but life is cheap and the rich in Pakistan couldn’t care one hoot.

Yes special rubber glue and nylon fibre for strength. In the west it is used to patch tires as well.

My boss is adopting their methods. He had us all come in monday with sandals and gave us Arabic work names. Took my fork lift gave me a mule and wagon says its more sustainable

A new tire is better than this repair, that's obvious, though the choice here is not between a makeshift repair and a new tire, it's between a makeshift repair & no fucking tractor.
